In the holocaust season we conceded 2.16 goals per game, this season we're currently conceding 2.18 goals per game.
We're obviously scoring more now but teams with those sort of defences don't ordinarily avoid relegation.

If we carry on with that record, we're only 6 goals conceded off Derby's 07/08 clusterfuck. EDIT: You can tell it's late I saw completely ignored the second half of that tweet

Its unconfirmed Hughes has actually resigned I've just read about the train station incident and this is the culmination of 18 months frustration I didn't hear anyone around me at the game last week defending Hughes anymore just despondency. If Coates really wants to stay play and progress in the Prem he should have been looking at this picture for a while he wants a measured approach without going g money !ad for me Koeman was like that at Sojthampoton before money mad Moshari told him to spend like Viv Nichols to reach the top four Koeman would no doubt have preferred to take a slower methodical approach and also not to have resigned the sideshow Rooney who I believe was rehired by Kenwright. If a top exec at the Bet365 corporation was performing as poorly as Hughes they would no doubt have been disciplined and removed by now At least a top exec at Bet 365 would be able to compose a paragraph of understandable English. They can type up Hughes a thank you note then mate sorry about the spelling late night big fingers small keys I think if you’re reasonably intelligent you’ll get the gist of what I was saying 👍🏻

It's a shame it's ended like this.
He was like a breath of fresh air in the first two years but the team have looked disjointed for way too long now. Something in the system is bust & it's not a simple fix.

I did, just about 👍🏻 Hughes was great but like I said I think a change is needed now. I’m wondering if this lack of ability or perhaps arrogance to change direction or organise and get players performing was spotted in its infancy at Man City and they pushed him before it got worse. I think we need to reset maybe advertise the job and see who fancies it possibly from abroad or wherever if Koeman does fancy it I can’t see he would be worse than Hughes but the club and fans must buy into his ‘mantra’ and back him in the transfer window and the fans from the stands

If this is true then it is a shock as hardly any managers resign these days. I would think there must be more to it than just the reception at the train station. I wonder if perhaps Hughes was told that he would have no money to spend in January. Or perhaps Coates has been sounding out other managers and Hughes has become aware of that and decided his position was untenable. Or perhaps he just doesn't want the hassle any more. It's not as though he particularly needs the money.
