You are right we have never been a major footballing city. But if you listen to a lot of people we have 50000 regular fans. I maintain if ticket prices were regularly lower we would get a good number more than we do. 50000? No of course not An extra 5000 Yes but not at these prices £19 pound a match with a season ticket,£5 tickets for yesterday’s match,or do you mean the match day prices when you want to attend.A season ticket is a commitment some cannot or don’t want to make,if it’s finace most on here most proberly pay more a month for there mobile phones.

Don't see what the argument is really. The piss poor away following of 300/400 I'd guess was 2400 down on the maximum away followings of the bigger clubs, so for the actual attendance to be about 1600 from capacity, I don't think anyone can moan about the number of Stokies who attended. Compare the crowd with West Brom (23500)who regularly fail to fill their stadium every week

If Man City can’t fill their ground in the form they’re in then everyone else has no hope

If Man City can’t fill their ground in the form they’re in then everyone else has no hope It's the reason why they'll never be a big big club. They're attendance playing their football is shameful.

I think the club did pretty well to fill so many of those extra seats that were available behind the away end goal due to Swansea taking the minimum allocation

It's got bugger all to do with Christmas at all. We've always had a fickle fan base and people are voting on the tripe being served up with their feet. You don't serve up tripe with feet. It's best served in The Sentnull with liberal doses of vinegar on it. You ned to learn your grammatical construction. Fucking rotund divvi! OS. Preferred copious amounts of vinegar mesen👍

The problem Man City have is the population of Stockport is quite small, they have another team in the city of Manchester that are light years ahead in terms of support, and don’t believe all this shit about City having a bigger support in the city than Utd.

I think 27/28,000 is a decent crowd for Swansea at home near christmas.
I mean, we won't fill the stadium every week. Aim for 95% throughout the season.

There are plenty of reasons people don’t turn up. They buy their st’s but also have a life. I miss for holidays but always offer my ticket out for free. My old fella missed Wed night he’s 76 and has chest problems it was too cold and would have made him ill. Most of the empty seats are bought and paid for so for whatever reason they don’t go they’ve still shown commitment to the club. Just fuck off superfans. I understand how your old man feels, Alster. I'm the same age and have a few problems that can knock me about a bit, but I didn't have a chest infection so I went to the game. I wore 2 pairs of socks, 2 pairs of long-johns, a t-shirt, 2 pullovers, two coats and 2 scarves and me flat cap... and me overcoat has a fleecy hood, and I was still frozzen when I got home. And even though we lost, I wouldn't have missed it for any reason other than an infection would have put me at risk. Give your old man my best and tell him to get better soon. I thought the Stoke fans' attendance was okay yesterday considering that it's coming up to Xmas and we were playing Swansea and not Man City. Some fans who are not ST holders can't afford both nogger and saving up for Xmas. Their kids come first, which is how it should be. OS. How did you piss 15 times during the match ? GD

I think there is obviously an issue here, there are a lot of season ticket holders who don't turn up for matches. I know around me there are other people using ticket holders seats and also empty seats. Doesn't really matter this season but when renewals come up, it may be a significant fall in take ups. Also the ground was half empty at the whistle even though we won.

You've got your people who are going to leave early whatever, then you've got to factor in that it was a poor game even though we won. I think renewals will be affected if Coates refuses to remove Hughes unless performances pick up massively there really is no sign whatsoever of our football improving.

How cheap would you like your football to be? If you're not lucky enough to be able to afford a season ticket, or unable to make more than 2, 3, 5, 8 games a season due to work etc then the on the day prices are extortionate for Category A games, the cheapest being £40 rising to £50 odd. They should be brought in line with the £30 that away fans pay now as part of the recent campaign....

That would be sensible it still leaves a good incentive to buy a ST someone suggested £20 but then they'd have to reduce ST's considerably to make it worth buying one.

Just watched the first half highlights and couldn't believe the amount of empty seats. We should have buried them in the second half, but never got out of second gear. We definitely need an improvement in form. Apathy is setting in, as mentioned in another post!

The expectation and anticipation that we might actually play well today before a game is ebbing away just like it did in Pulis' last 18 months or so. Scruffy laboured wins against poor teams is not going to put that right.

Tablets, David. I take all my preservatives with a couple of digestives each morning, plus eye drops so I can see halfway up the pitch from my seat in the Boothen. Now leave me alone and let me fade away in dignity whilst smelling like a pissed up polecat. How's Bonkolina these days? I darned well hope she's not been turned into rashers and chops! OS.
