Personally I thought he looked a better prospect than Fletch today .Seemed more assured on the ball, And he's got about 10 times more energy. Still think we need a bigger physical presence in centre mid but for now I'd like to see more of him Fletcher has been tripe.

If he can get back to full fitness he is a real class act. Not sure what his best position is though. I'd suggest as a CM in a 3 or advanced behind the striker/strikers. I'm not sure whether he's got the engine to be in a 2.

Very good footballer but doesn't move it quick enough for me. He won the ball and Mame made a great run. It was a simple ball over the top, yet Affelay did another pirouette and lost the ball. We are desperate for a quality midfielder.

Looks like Charlie will be gone in January. That would mean two midfielders in Jan can't see that Charlie will go next summer .

He's a completely different sort of player. I'm not convinced by Fletcher, but I really don't want to see Affelay there.

Very little between Afellay and Fletcher. Afellay is neater on the ball and doesn't give it away as much as Fletcher but Fletcher breaks up play better with his tackling and getting a foot in. Either way a new younger fitter defensive midfielder would be appreciated.

Exactly.
He slows the game down massively because he simply doesn't move it on quickly enough.
Great player to bring on when you need to close the game out and defend a lead, having said that, Fletcher has been very disappointing lately.
I'd try Zouma next to Joe.

Painfully slow today methinks! Good player before the injury, but pace is needed. It's a good job Joe works his socks off!

I don't think his knees can handle full time football, unfortunately. We HAVE to bring in at least 2 midfielders in January

He is a class act who virtually never gives the ball away. Don't agree that pace is an issue. With him in the team we are much more consistent. He helps control the play when in possession.

Affelay is the best all round CM we have at the club in my opinion. The most positionally aware, the best passer, got a shot on him, but also gets stuck in.
On a different topic, Ndidi for Leicester is the player we should of signed instead of Imbula, looks a class act and if I'm not mistaken was less than 18M.

Affelay not reliable enough Cameron will be in the defender pool Nah, Cameron said before the season started the manager saw him in a central midfield position injuries / suspensions permitting. With Cameron those decisions have always been ad hoc regardless whether the manager was Hughes or Pulis. It has been to the detriment of a player who still doesn't hold a regular position in the team, even six seasons into his club career, but it has benefitted the team enourmously.

Although he's not very strong, I think Affa is on a par with Nzonzi when fit.
