Still a lot of points to be played for and with people like Fletcher, Allen, Shawcross,Zouma, Crouch etc we should have the balls and experience to keep our heads.......but it's just that we look like we are going to gift teams a couple of soft goals in every game and our crowd, still divided by the toxic one (his sacking couldn't have come at a worse time) and with the newby Premiership supporters I'm not sure whether the supporters are going to be a help or a hindrance.

This has the feel of 'losing manager gets sacked' about it. I can't help thinking it might be a good thing for us to lose and Hughes to go. I can't see him being able to turn things around permanently even if we get a good result today. I got plenty of stick when I suggested something similar a few weeks ago. I just want Hughes gone.

I don't think we will lose today. Probably a draw. This will extend LMH hold on the reigns. As a team we are just about good enough to survive this year. As long as we keep getting this win, draw lose a few cycle the hierarchy remain happy. A different story or the fans though. Tedium ad infinitum.....

I think it'll be a turgid 0-0 and nothing will change for either club My prediction also.

I must be in a minority as I think it will be quite an open game. I think Swansea will see the best way to play Stoke is to attack our fragile defence which may make for an entertaining error filled match..I actually think Bony & Abraham could cause us problems.

3 points today and then against West Ham are absolutely crucial no matter what happens against Spurs and Burnley

That's the exact opposite of how Swansea have played this season, would expect 451 and everyone behind the ball. If they do play two up top that would signal that your suggestion is on the cards. Rather they did, if both sides playing 442 that would suit Stoke.

Wow now Burnley is a bonus game. Current situation and with both teams playing as they are, you’d hardly bet your house on a result there or would YOU alster? Despite their lofty position in the table I don't think Burnley have become a side to be feared. Not saying they won't beat us by making one mistake less than we do but they're hardly likely to run amuck. Conclusion they're still pretty shit despite their position I know others will disagree who think there is nothing more to the game than a result but for me they're still one of the poorest teams in the league.

That’s rubbish 🚾. Credit where it’s due. Burnley have lost just 3 games to date and are likely to have mid 30 points BY THE END OF DEC, just 4 or 5 from safety !!

Big game today.
If we lose, there has to be serious thought as to where we are going under Hughes.
If we win, maybe we can turn things around and build.
Its most likely going to be a draw of sorts, where the status quo will continue up to Christmas. If its a draw, I personally think we should take the same thinking as if we had lost.
We need this today, its massive for us and the club.
Come on Stoke !!!!

Hopefully we can get behind the team today and not spend most of the game booing the officials. Getting at cheating officials is a major way of helping your team. Were you around during our first five years in this league? I've probably missed about 10 home games in the last 25 years, been going a lot longer but work kept me away for a few years. Any way give me 200 fans singing their bollocks off for 90 minutes than 30 000 people booing because a ref made a few dodgy decisions.

You are right. Burnley are a bunch of average talent players, but they work their socks off, and their synergy is excellent. Consequently they are playing well "above themselves". The question is, can they keep it up all season and what happens when there is some disruption to their team due to injuries and suspensions. They will hit a bad patch at some time, all teams do except the absolute top teams, and even they can have a rocky patch.
