I only recently started watching this and have so far only seen from Series 3 on catch-up and I'm watching the current series 4. I'm absolutely hooked on it and think it's brilliant. The theme song "Red Right Hand" is perfect for the show and the acting is really, really good.
Just wish there was more like this on TV instead of all the reality crap and other absolute dross.

I actually heard Paul Anderson (who plays Arthur Shelby) being interviewed by Craig Charles on BBC R2 on Monday afternoon. He is actually from the London area and has quite a strong London accent so his Brummie accent in Peaky Blinders is brilliantly done.
He said at the start of Series 1 he wondered who the hell had done the casting as he couldn't really see how they could have thought himself and Cillian Murphy (Tommy Shelby) could possibly be brothers as in his words "Cillian is so damned good looking, and then there's me looking like I do".

Do yourself a massive favour Deeside, though obviously the cliff hangers will not be the same, watch series 1 and 2, get to know the background, Sam Neil was awesome in 1 and 2...

Modern music, far too well dressed, over romanticised gypysys, Churchill using gangsters, some shocking accents.
It really shouldn't work but it works brilliantly, wouldn't change a thing.

It is brilliant.
Thought the first episode of season 4 was brilliant, last weeks was push and the one on just was quite good. I think it'll be a great ending though.
Adrien Brody is a great addition too.

Got a bit dodgy towards the back end of last season, felt they tried too much in too little time. But I love the simplification and return to the roots so far in this season. Fantastic visually, emotionally and a superb overall experience.

Why didn't Tom just pistol whip the Mafia boss to death when they were alone, Game over!

I've only watched Season One so far, but yeah it's a decent show. I admit I needed to turn captions on so I could at least understand it. I'll eventually get back to it and watch the other seasons.

Just watched it myself.....Blimey...What a twist... I saw it myself last night. Looks like Poll's out for revenge ! Nah....Poll's too loyal to the idea of the "Shelby family". She may be pissed with Tommy, but if she takes him down it's the whole family that will be destroyed. It'll all be a ruse to lull Brody into a false sense of security masterminded by Tommy.

Totally vegged out watching the first three series on BBC iPlayer in preparation for this latest series. I can't believe I missed it the first time around. As someone who is half Brummie (there's a photo of my gran in the 1920s looking like a character who should be on it, complete with cloche hat!) and who went to uni in Birmingham, it really strikes a chord. Although the accents are slightly dodgy with some of the actors, it makes a fair crack at it. A lot of people don't realise that there are several types of Brummie accent, depending on what part of the city you come from.
Love it. I predict that Aunt Pol is setting up the Mafia man and that Tommy will be shagging that union woman over the desk any time soon.

They have been running series 1-3 every night late on BBC4. 3 episodes per night. Last 3 of series 3 tonight. 1-2 brilliant series 3 lost it's way a little. Series 4 is brilliant.

All the double dealing and whatnot in series 3 left me confused. But back to brilliant best in S4 - Although I miss John. What a character he was. Finn is such a lightweight in comparison. I see they have already commissioned series 5.

Couple of twists in last night's end of series episode. Set up nicely for Series 5 (hopefully). Arthur's 'murder' had me fooled. Very sad to see the end of Alfie Solomons too. One of the finest characters to ever grace the small screen :-) Any ideas when series 5 is due?

Yeah, Arthur's murder was cunning. Alfie will be missed if there is a series 5 but I haven't seen if here are any plans yet. Surely it's opened up a whole new storyline now Tommy is an M.P.

Only flaw though was at the boxing they were surrounded by 100's of their own, but Arthur, then Tommy went looking for the Italian assasins alone, why not go mob handed.

I agree they could have had more backup with them. Arthur's an absolute nutter though isn't he. He wouldn't listen to Tommy to stay round the boxing ring, he just couldn't resist the trap could he ? It's frustrating isn't it, you wait all year for the next series and then it's over in just 6 weeks.
