We could pick exactly the same 11 and play 4-2-3-1 and it would make a difference. Grant Zouma - Shawcross - Wimmer - Pieters Fletcher - Allen Choupo - Shaqiri - Sobhi Diouf It looks a lot more balanced to me I can't see what we'd lose with that formation. The key is keeping Shaqiri central and not on the periphery of things. Time to sod this back 3 stuff off. |

Rb isn't Zouma's best position, opposing teams will soon narrow down ways to exploit that he is slow to react to fast and skillful wide players, and if he were to be used that way, it's only going to take a couple games or less before the usual suspects will come on this site and ridicule the manager for choosing to play Zouma out of position...

For a start it would nulify Shaqiri, our best player. If we make him weaker we could get worse.
We have no good pace players to play wide and would need either Edwards/Zouma at right back.
We also don't have a ball playing midfielder. Allen and Fletcher? Really?
