Most people would have taken a point before kick-off... Of course there are quite a few on here who were wetting their knickers about how we were going to lose, so now that we haven't they'll change tact & say it's 2pts dropped. Gotta keep up that negativity.

Ahead twice, in control for most of the game, had the better chances, just shite defending and a god-awful inability to take advantage of their long periods of slow-paced pondering. Clear, clear penalty mind.

2 dropped. Two sloppy goals cost us again, as it did against Leicester and will continue to cost us as long as we play 3 at the back - our centre-halves look disorientated and Ill suited to the system - There's no communication there or understanding of who marks the man or the space. The real problem for me though is that we are stuck to having to play 3 at the back as we have no cover or options in midfield, not allowing us to pack the middle if needed. Right back is also a concern - why didn't we address that position either in the summer - Dioufy has done a fair job but he's not a fucking wing back (bangs Head against wall) Bang on

Didn't see the game as I was working. Caught last 15 minutes. How did we do? IMHO "on that performance" Brighton are relegation candidates so that puts into perspective the quality of our performance

Two points dropped for sure ..they were not good at the back.and we didn't take advantage of that.but we avoided defeat away and picked up a point which is a bonus for us as our performances are hit and miss at the moment..

Apart from a decent left winger they were gash. The fact Glen Murray gave us the run around says all you need to know about our defence.
They were there for the taking and we created chances.
If we have any ambition whatsoever to finish top 10 we should have won that tonight.
Mid table obscurity beckons. We ain’t gonna fly up the league this season but won’t get relegated.

Both. Don't sniff at an away point but really unprofessional from senior players that should know better chucked two points up the wall.
We need a win at Palace.
As it stands we've taken 5 points from 12 from our supposed winnable games.
Not good enough.

Clear, clear penalty mind. Disagree in real time it did look a stone wall peno but after the slow mo Murry looks to dive just before Ryans leg comes in, if Murry stays on the same course then falls over Ryans leg then peno defo but i'm not so sure now.

Both.
1 point gained but a 2 point opportunity lost which would have propelled us to 10th place.
I feel deflated.

Two poor goals cost us. A draw was the fair result but I really think we could have won that. totally agree with that. I would have taken a draw before the game, especially a score draw. However, penalty non-award notwithstanding, we really could and should have won. we didn't win because of poor defending, and team discipline, not because Hughes took Shaq off. therefore a missed opportunity, but not the end of the world.

I'm sure most Brighton fans see it as points dropped at home, so it has to be a point gained for us, exactly how we feel when we drop points at home to mid table rivals.
Expectations of winning away every time against mid table rivals are unrealistic, but we need to beef up our home form.

I reiterate. They were there for the taking! Agree We know Palace will beat us so given how poor they were it was a point lost. A 4-4-2 last night with Crouch and Berahino up front wouldd have beaten them comfortably

A point away from home in this league is always a good result.
However, Brighton are a poor side, albeit well organised. If we have any ambition above survival then these are the teams we should be beating. Especially when their play did not merit anything more than the gifts we gave.
We gave away poor goals yet again - both were defended terribly as a group effort - it really shouldn't be happening, yet we see it most weeks. It is especially galling as we have such quality centre halves at our disposal. I still believe this wingback abortion needs to be scrapped unless we are prepared to use players who can actually play there - whether that is the youngsters we have or we scrap it until Jan and buy some in is up to Hughes.
I like Choupo, and he took his goal well, but he is not a centre forward. Apart from set pieces, their centre halves had a very easy 2nd half.
Taking Shaq off was a poor decision.
