We're a game short of being a third into the season.
At this point Swansea look the worst side in the league despite what the table says.
Palace look in the shit mathematically but a win next week changes that, lose and it makes their situation much worse and ours much better.
West Ham look an absolute basket case.
West Brom have a good balanced side in there if they get a good manager in.
Huddersfield will struggle.
We haven't got a plan.
And Everton need a mention. They look absolutely dreadful.

Why is everyone saying Huddersfield? I bet their board reckon it's us! I watched them in the cup against Citeh last season and thought they would make a good fist of promotion and our division. Good side. Surprised so many picked then to drop. I Reckon Swans Palace West Ham Because they haven't scored away since opening day and since magnificently beating The Shit are looking like a side who are going to get beaten every game. They might stay up but it's going to be very close. They need someone with Premier League experience in January. Brighton will be fine if bottom half. They did best West Brom after that Manure victory.

I am the world’s worse predictor. So I’ll say Stoke, Manchester City and Chelsea.

I'd kill for half of their side mind! 😂 Butland Soares Shawcross Van Dijk Bertrand Romeu Lemina Ward-Prowsd Shaq Diouf Choupo Lovely stuff.

On paper, Palace's team looks way too good to be down there. They're due a morale-boosting win aren't they? ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/4tzqvp1fxEemag_TAXLJ.gif)

Huddersfield are 10th but the bookies still have them 3rd favourites to go down with odds-on pair Palace & Swansea. I have a feeling the bookies will be right about the Terriers.
It could be a boring end to the season with City winning the title by a mile and three teams cut adrift from the rest with games running out.
I still might put a tenner on Burnley to get relegated at 20/1 (superstition). Stoke are a best 8/1 to go down but the bookies think Burnley will finish 9th and Stoke 13th. They've got Watford 7th, Leicester 8th and West Ham 17th.

Long way to go and many ups and downs for all concearned. Apart from the booring top six it makes the rest of us a interesting and a eventful leauge. The greedy bastards at the top fail to realise that to be at the top of a pyramid you have to have a solid base. The statistic that outside the "six" Stoke are the longest serving member of the most prestigious leauge in the world is quite awesome. Everton haven’t been relegated yet.

Swansea look like the only certs to me - looks like they haven't kicked on from a poor last season.
I think Palace have enough decent players to get out of it - and the advantage of a bad start is you know you are in a dogfight from the start so are already up for it when it matters. It's the teams floating just above relegation (like Middlesborough last year) and who only find themselves in the mire around March that have trouble adjusting to their situation.
The other potential candidates are the promoted sides and the established sides with problems behind the scenes - which brings Brighton, Huddersfield, Newcastle, West Ham, West Brom and Everton into the frame. Of the promoted sides Huddersfield look the most vulnerable (despite a good start) but if the takeover doesn't happen and Rafa goes that could well do for Newcastle. It would be a massive shock but the longer Everton dither the more likely they will be the established side to struggle.
Another poster mentioned Southampton - which the more I think about it isn't a bad call. The chopping and changing - and a disgruntled fanbase - might catch up on them.
And in a season like this you can't rule us out either - we are among the 14 teams that could quite easily go down if we don't turn up for whatever reason. However I think we will be ok - despite what some on here may think we have a decent manager, a good squad and what may well make all the difference this year - a degree of stability not currently enjoyed by a number of our rivals. Which to my mind makes the calls to change the manager now look really bizarre.

Relegation:
Swansea - they are due, especially if they think buying Bony and loaning Sanches can make up for losing Sigurdsson and Llorente Huddersfield/Brighton - one of them, if not both, will slide down the table after an encouraging start. West Ham - Moyes........really? Everton/WBA - a good appointment should see them okay. Palace - I feel Woy will steady the ship enough to keep them up. Stoke - we are not too good to go down and must hope that there are enough bad teams to finish below us.

Palace have got five points & it's late November. Yes Hodgson has steadied the ship, and yes they have decent enough players however it's going to be really tough to get another 30/32 points especially if they keep giving goals away.
