Had the pleasure of spending a short period of time with him in Orlando last Summer. Truly nice guy, spoke of his love for Stoke and Stokies and was gutted to have failed to make it here. Although he was excited by the chance to make it at Orlando, sadly this never materialised. God bless you big man , rest in peace. I'm sure there are loads of posters on here who have children around the age of Tex and always take their life and health for granted. Next time you're with them, just give them a big hug, no words needed. Then count your blessings.

Johnny Brazil is a bit like Mama in some respects in that you'll struggle to find anyone involved at Stoke City when he was there that has a bad word to say about the guy.

Dave, there were times when Tex used to get light hearted dogs abuse from a lot of the players. But he was part of a great family, who in the main always looked out for each other. You're right about Mama, to this day still hell in great esteem

RIP Jonny Tex ! Unbelievably sad and surprising news I'll always remember you for coming on away at Bournemouth and helping us get those 3 points !! Shouldn't be happening to someone so young.. awful. Always remember him stopping that hard shot with his chest and carrying on as if nothing had happened.

RIP Tex.
As for the discussion about him as a player, he may not have been Premier League standard, but I remember him playing 45 minutes against Bournemouth and being very good in a 'less-about-football' human shield fashion. He blocked everything in that second half.

Absolutely tragic and shocking.
We've lost ex players before but not in such for circumstances.
RIP Tex 😔
