First half played well ...second stuck to staying out wide and thinking of his big weekend coming up

Since Arnie and Bojan have gone, Shaq is my dose of 'he does what ordinary footballers can't do' Wasn't great today but still took that goal like only a quality footballer could.

I thought overall he was poor today. Touch, final ball and decision making all off the mark. However he got a goal and an assist

Great finish today, but the bottom line is he is an idle bastard who should work harder. I have read that he thinks he should be playing champions league football, he is deluded. That might have been fair for a part of last season but he's been very good this season, been working plenty hard too. Hope he starts every game and stays focused

He's very influential when given a free role, but absolutely hopeless when he has to play on the wing. His set pieces have picked up, too.

He's a class apart from any of our other outfield players. Definition of a big fish in a small pond. Love him.

Good contribution in terms of a goal and an assist today but his ability to only turn one way means most defenders are wise to him and mark him as such. Wish he could actually use his right leg instead of just using it to stand on. Had the opportunity to score on a virtual one on one in the first half but seemed to bottle it and turned away instead of pressing forward. Skilful player but bloody frustrating.

An odd game to judge him on. 2 great moments with a huge void inbetween. He doesn't seem happy; to me he looks like he has his sights set elsewhere.
Personally I would have given Chupo the man of the match..

I'll take a goal and assist every game mate. I just thought his overall play has been much better this season. Not a dig at the lad but even he looked frustrated with his touch at times yesterday

I thought he was good. But he wasnt very positive, he was turning and coming back or knocking 20 yard passes to our centre backs (which makes the crazy man in front scream "Oy shaqiri you fucking cunt theres a seat next to me") ^winds me the fuck up

He had an average game for him, yet scored one goal and set up the other! His importance for us this season cannot be exaggerated.

Chances created so far this season: De Bruyne 32 Fabregas 32 Ozil 30 Silva 29 SHAQIRI 27 Eriksen 24 The stats are good but he always seems to leave the impression he could have done more. I know that sounds crazy, but it's how I feel about him. That said, we'd be miles worse without him.

Chances created so far this season: De Bruyne 32 Fabregas 32 Ozil 30 Silva 29 SHAQIRI 27 Eriksen 24 That is some stat, particularly when you consider that the other players in that list play for Man City, Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal who create about 3 times more chances than most teams in the Prem, anyone who thinks its not impressive should look again and just ponder that fact.

Depends on what you call a chance. I'd like to see the chance conversation stat to go with it. Of course, that's not Shaqiri's fault. I'd also like to see our total chances created; bet that's impressive!

It's time we started to think about retaining our better players instead of just assuming they will move on to better things.
Arnie should be used as an example to restless members of the squad. Play here or warm the bench elsewhere.
We have ambitions and are a PL force of note.

The big clubs themselves don't seem interested although looking at social media during the Leicester game their fans certainly are. There were lots of comments from Big 6 fans along the lines of 'What the hell is Shaqiri doing playing for a bunch of minnows like Stoke?' !

Chances created so far this season: De Bruyne 32 Fabregas 32 Ozil 30 Silva 29 SHAQIRI 27 Eriksen 24 Great stat prestwich and shows that Stoke fans are mainly idiots. I would imagine that Shaqiri has created more than 50% of all our goals and assists this season. He is a CREATIVE player in a very un-creative team. The fact he has so much to do on his shoulders, means he often tries to hard to make something happen. Sometimes it wont come off but at least he is TRYING to make things happen rather than just pass the ball back People moaning at his performance after a goal and asist really need to stop and think for a momeny

Cant believe all the negativity towards the feller this season! Based on what we've see this season, he's been our best player, certainly our most creative. I had doubts in the past but so far all good. Anyone can critique an individual players performance but to listen to some on here they have either never played football or are blind.

A move for Shaq isn’t that simple. He’s got to find a grade A club in Europe (I don’t think the big 6 here would be interested) as none of the others could afford his salary. So it’s a top 4 or 5 club in Spain, Italy or Germany or he’s stuffed - pretty much like Zonz. In order to attract one of them he’s going to have to have a blinding season here and probably score a significant amount of goals.
