I've got no idea why Americans are so adamant about owning guns to 'protect' themselves. You'd think they'd at least be able to look at the UK as an example and realise that selling guns to any old Tom, Dick and Harry isn't necessary. I can see both sides of it, Rick. There are millions of gun owners who live in the huge swathes of central America who have them for hunting & what not, why should these people lose their guns because some fucked up scumbag decides he wants to go shoot up a church? Even if they made guns illegal, there must be hundreds of millions, possibly billions of guns in the US. For every 'good guy' who hands in his guns there'll be ten 'gangstas' who don't. If someone wants to shoot up a church, or saddo 'Bloods' & 'Crips' and all that bollocks want to keep shooting eachother (There are dozens of people shot dead in gang wars in cities like Chicago every, single week. It's the same in Baltimore, St. Louis etc... etc...) You anit going to stop that by making guns illegal.

Yeah some decent points there, I suppose that there's so many guns in circulation now that there's no turning back for them. Guns are also big business aren't they and must bring a lot to the American economy so I can't see any government agreeing to make them illegal due to the pressure that lobbyists and significant numbers of the US population citing the second amendment.

What are you on about you plank? You think gangs aren't a problem when it comes to shootings in the US? Lets have a read of today's Chicago Tribune shall we... Chicago is close to recording its 600th homicide for the year, only the second time the city will have reached the grim milestone since 2003, according to data kept by the Tribune. After a weekend when 30 people were shot, five of them fatally, the number of homicides stands at 593 this year, according to the Tribune's database. That's below the 681 homicides this time last year but substantially above other recent years. So that's 593 shot & killed so far this year, to add to the 681 shot & killed last year just in Chicago, but yeah, you're right, gangs & shootings have nothing at all to do with eachother. Now, tell me again how making guns illegal is going to stop this? You think all the 'Bloods' or whoever are suddenly going to hand in their guns & become peaceful members of society? You think some scumbag who's been dreaming for years about shooting a load of Christians inside a church is suddenly going to shrug his shoulders & say "Oh well" if you make guns illegal?

It's almost as if anyone could be mistaken for him if they use some basic formatting tools and a few choice words, isn't it FELLA Triggered to fuck Simon, triggered to fuck 😂 I know you are, vodger

I'd need to say it a first time in order to tell you again. Gun ownership is a choice and a huge responsibility, but people should have the right. It is true that the more guns in the hands of both law abiding folk and criminal, as well as law enforcement, the more people die from them. It's the reality of a society that allows people to have them, you take the good with the bad. My thought was Chicago isn't the problem when it comes to a shooting in Texas, and there are plenty of bad guys and sickos in middle America.

I can understand how a gun can be an equaliser for vulnerable people. Just how many rapes or muggings have they prevented in normal peoples hands.
Why they feel the need to allow fully automatic weapons, rifles, bazookas, mortars probably an armoured car and a tank is beyond me.
If they limited personal use guns to a 4 shot revolver the mass murderers would be out of business and that means you are only allowed to carry one short range weapon not tool yourself up like Rambo on a mission.
The gun lobby wouldn't be happy but the constitutional right to bear arms would not be broken.
We will never have a society without violent evil people, not even if you start selective breading so a utopian society is a non starter imo.

Which goes back to what I was on about with Rick, it'd be like 'shuting the gate after the horse has bolted' to try & make guns illegal now. All the 'wrong' people would still have them & the police would still need them.

Just to go back to the Texas shooting for a minute, how is it being reported over there? From what I've been reading the scumbag who did it had been posting on social media about how much he hated Christians. He's then gone into a church & shot & killed 26 Christians. How is it not being called terrorism?

There's talk that it stemmed from a domestic dispute and that he was targeting his in laws, but any person trying to kill innocent people is the same in my eyes.

Only reason I can think of that one person would be so obsessive about multi-accounts and the like (especially when he himself rocks as many as he does ) Who knows, maybe the bumming in the showers is projection too .... Projection being a common theme for most of the alt-right on this board, actually. Angry about safe spaces and snowflakes; yet they're terribly sensitive souls and want to turn this board into a safe space of their own. Angry about anti-white racism; yet they're frequently racist. Angry about Islamic intolerance of gay rights and civil liberties; yet many are of them intolerant of - well, you get the idea

I don't often hear those types citing the first bit of that!
