So touch wood it looks like Allen and Shaq wont be suspended so for me I'd go with 3-4-3 ...........Jack........... ..Zouma....Ryan....Wimm... Diouf..Joe...Fletch...Eric ..Shaq...Berahino...Choupa or 4-2-3-1 ...........Jack.......... GCam...Zouma..Ryan...Eric ......Fletch...Allen..... ..Shaq.....Jese....Choupa ...........Diouf......... I like the latter better, with Geoff's added athleticism at the back, and Diouf back up front where he belongs. That attacking midfield three has a bit of devilment about them which should ensure Mame gets a chance or two, and they can all pop up with a goal themselves. Such formation should ensure we are playing on the front foot, not sitting back with what can easily turn into a back five.

I agree, but pose the question about what we do at home next time around with both Indi and Wimmer available? Hughes will simply resort to playing Diouf as a wing back and persevere with Choupo up front as opposed to on the wing. It's madness I tell thee. We should have spent the Wimmer £18 million more wisely. On another midfielder to be specific.

I think he is behind Bruno in the pecking order but I believe he will come good and with Ryan's back and Zouma on loan he is needed both in the short and long term.

We should have spent the Wimmer £18 million more wisely. On another midfielder to be specific. Play Kurt at right back and reunite Ryan and Bruno in the middle. Wimmer can continue his return to form and fitness in training, and have to take his chances when called upon. Geoff could be an option for midfield to add to or replace Fletch and Joe. Isn't ickle Joe close to a bookings suspension?

Not worried when playing Puel teams. He normally sets up the same with a 4231 and they look to play the possession game. As he did under Southampton. I think Hughes will stick with his precious 343. Square pegs in round holes and all that. Butland Wimmer Shawcross Zouma Mame Fletcher Allen Eric Shaq Jese Choupo

Kurt would be a waste at right back and probably not too chuffed at the prospect. I'd have less of a problem with three at the back if we had wing backs, and then Wimmer would have been that back up in times of loss of form or injury, with Cameron available too in midfield and defence. We'd also be able to play Diouf up front. But, we don't have wing backs and it's a mess. Hughes wedded himself to a system without the right personnel and has fudged it to date. It's the key reason we're unconvincing so far.

Mahrez and Vardy worry me.Pieters will have big problems with Mahrez and will need help and Vardy's pace will test Ryan more than a big powerful striker does.We will need to score at least 2 to win so for me 3-2 Stoke.

We have to give Berahino an extended run to see if he can recover his form. I’d play him every game until the New Year and let the chips lay where they may. He’s not our only goal scoring option. Shaq, Diouf and Choupo need to contribute goals as well, and we need to get more goals from set pieces. Forget three at the back. So.....
Butland Cameron Zouma Shawcross Pieters Fletcher Allen Diouf Shaqiri Choupo (or Ramadan) Berahino

They played 4-4-1-1 against Everton with Chilwell and Gray out wide and Mahrez in behind Vardy. I'd be quite happy if they go with that again, providing Pieters has his defensive head on and Diouf looks to attack on the right hand side.....

I'd just like to see us take the game to them instead of sitting back. Shaq, Jese and Choupo behind Diouf would give them plenty to worry about. At the other end, there should be a place for Geoff's athleticism, if he is fit to return. We need him and Zouma to try to cope with their pace in attack.

Ramadan in front of Erik for a bit more cover for me. I think we can get at both their fullbacks, and if we are mobile, can cause Morgan some problems.

I suspect Hughes will sacrifice possession and sit back a bit, in Pulisesque mode. It worked at Watford and should nullify Leicester's counter attacking style. Puell's instincts might be cautious, but Vardy and co. ripped Everton apart when they tried to attack.

I agree we’ll forfeit possession and we need to sit deeper than usual to nullify their pace. One option for this match maybe to play off Crouch but still have our defence deep,Thoughts?

Agreed, best way to cause trouble for them is to hit them with pace and trickery. Crouch would be meat and drink to those two.

Mahrez hasn't been great since the league title season so wouldn't be too worried to see him starting (cue blinder...). Gray and Vardy are the real threats.
No use going toe to toe to their big units at the back - a bit of trickery and movement would be a better bet. Jesse or Saido for me.
I just hope they don't score first - forcing us into pressing for an equaliser plays right into their hands.
From what I've seen Leicester look like solid candidates for 7-10th so a good test for our top half credentials.

I like our chances boys. I’m thinking this is an all nighter with a campfire, the missus is gone, just me and the mutt are in for a Full Texas breakfast (30oz steak) Heinz beans (I’ve saved a can) Eggs, Shrooms (the legal kind) Onions, British bacon (I know a guy) Fried green Tomaters, Fredericksburg sausages and HP. It’s bastardized but it is goooood with a good Texas Whiskey 🥃 watching a waxing gibbous set and the sun come up just at kickoff time here.

A game for Peter Crouch, with their pace, we can't play a high line, need someone to hold the ball up.
