the whole back 3 were outstanding. Ryan back to his best. He always looks better against a bruiser than some willo the whisp type striker.

Didn’t put a foot wrong But it helps when the guy alongside is having a blinder. Well done Kev. Fucking brilliant Ryan

Excellent, along with the entire back line. He’s had a rough start, but some of the daft cunts on here look bound and determined to write players off after a couple of games. Good to see him shake off the negativity. The clean sheet will do them all the world of good.

I've been one of his biggest critics, but he actually looked like he had Stoke DNA today. He dove and threw his body around like Shawcross. He was very good at times and marked extremely well. I hope he does well to allow us to use others in their preferred positions especially Cameron. I'd like to see him more vocal and angry at times, but he was 180* degrees different than his last performances. If only we could get a few Wingbacks in January this side has some potential if fit and a few more additions each window.

How many times have we actually played our best 3 together this season? Defence is all about consistency of partnerships.

A microcosm of our whole situation today. One swallow doesn't make a summer, but we have far more reason to be positive!
Hopefully it will be the start of a good run of form for Kevin, although it will be interesting to see if he gets the nod over BMI when he's fit.

Tottenham fans had some time for the bloke. He is an international footballer. He has only just signed for the club. Common sense says you give the bloke a bit of time to settle and you may have a half decent player on your hands.

too many on here were too quick to write him off after a couple of games.i am sure he has been brought principally to take over from zouma if we cant prise him away from Chelsea.his role this season is to fill in when and if required. difficult start but todays win should be a boost to the whole squad.

Some writing off a guy after a few games who has probably been carrying a niggle, probably premature

No chance, I'm totally unreasonable, I want him to walk into the club and immediately be Bobby Moore in his pomp, anything less and my head will explode, for god's sake man.

Absolutely - Wolly’s inability to be the reincarnation of Franz Beckenbauer was completely unacceptable too!!! Who says we are unreasonable??

The reason they did well today was they sat deep and left no space behind. Also it wasn't a back three Pieters also played centre half today but they did all do well .

Wooly was German, they win the world cup regularly, ergo, not only do we find it unacceptable that he let us down, he let Germany down as well. Football is so simple.

I was one who WAS already writing him off and he did hide a bit for first 20 mins but then seemed to get carried along by the example set by Ryan and Zouma. Which suggests maybe it's a confidence and settled partnership issue. So there's hope that we haven't pissed 18 million up the wall.

Amazing what can happen when you have players back from injury etc. I'd like see where we'd be if we had the same back line in all previous games.
