Deeney lucky not to see red Very. He grabbed hold of Joes head and kept holing it in mental anger!!! He was digging his thumbs into Joe's cheeks really hard. No wonder Joe was furious, I'd have nutted him, and I've literally never nutted anyone in my entire life

Seeing the replay, the ref wouldn't have seen Deeney sticking his thumbs in Allen's face. Should be a red for that retrospectively Problem is it can only be retrospective if not seen by ref, the yellow card indicates that he has seen it and taken the appropriate action. Total crap but I believe thats how it works. Booking for Allen means he misses Leicester

Deeney incredibly lucky. And there can't be any retrospective action because he's had the yellow. What a ridiculous rule isn't it.

Useful 3 points pretty god awful performance. Why the fuck did he take Ramadan off and move Choupo who'd done fuck all into a position he was doing a decent job in. Berahino must be fucking cursed but he did some useful stuff apart from score he needs a run up front if he insists on diouf playing wingback. If thats done anything to cement Hughes' position it shouldn't have.

A strange one..
Despite being pegged back a lot and despite the best efforts of Oliver Jack still didn't have an effort to save and we had 3 golden chances to score again.
A great 3 points though..and will piss off one or two on here !

One thing for sure, it was not dull... after Bournemouth we needed a result. But that was almost the definition of winning ugly.
If Charlie’s had gone in, that would have REALLY creamed off Watford’s diving prima donnas

We were comfortably the better team for the entire 90 mins. Butland didn't have to make a single save. And we played some decent football today as well. I would go as far as saying we played some decent football, but today’s not the day for nitpicking. Just happy with the three points and the effiort and desire shown by the entire side. Massive win and very much needed.

Well, those players deserved that. They showed up for Hughes in a huge way. It was like the Alamo, constant battering and tenacious effort and overcoming adversity for 75mins! I would of taken a draw but our team showed guts and wasn't bullied like Arsenal and others!

Happy for Ramadan The first game for him to start in his position and he did well especially in the defense, he helped the team to look more organized. It was hard for Watford to penetrate the well organized Stoke today, they depended on crossing from long distance which makes it easier for the defense.

A very good result and a welcome three points but we were less than convincing. Could not keep the ball and Berahino and Adam missed sitters. If Mr Hughes ever starts playing players in the correct position and works out our best formation.

Yes but the ref may not have seen it, but the twat has probably got away with it Dont think the ref did see it but by giving a yellow he is deemed to have seen it. Agree it is totally stupid. If he had taken no action then would have been a retrospective red. Another reason for a video ref.

A huge win given the circumstances. A clean sheet and three points on the road against a team that has had a good start to the season. I'm sure the team's spirits will be restored with this one. Now let's keep it going in these next few fixtures.
