We have not been selected for any live games in December ( although the 30th games have not yet been announced).
The FSF is pleased that, after a lot of campaigning and pressure behind the scenes on both the Premier League clubs and the broadcasters, there are no TV games scheduled for christmas eve, although this had been the broadcasters original intention. Well done to all those involved in that.

I'm surprised they didn't want to show the Wembley 'goal fest' v Spuds

Are you Malcolm's spokesperson now John? No but I saw the Sentinel article before I saw this thread so I thought I'd link it. I doubt that Malcolm will mind much - fame hasn't gone to his head - he remains very humble!

Christmas Eve games if kept between regional sides is a great idea. Not if you're Santa Claus!

Christmas Eve games if kept between regional sides is a great idea. The problem was that they did not issue any instructions to the fixture compilers to try to achieve that ( as they do for midweek games for example). In fact the mean average travel for the away fans for Dec 30th is about 180 miles, which so far from being less, is actually 30 miles more than the overall average for all PL clubs for the season. The only two games which on any reasonable description could be described as "regional" are us v WBA and Brighton v Watford.
