Johnson AND Pieters in a back 3.. wake me up tomorrow. Pieters might just do the job, Johnson...you've got to feel sorry for the tired old legs. He'll be murdered out there.

Hughes will always go for experience over youth, always.
I say let's get behind the 11 chosen and roar them on to a good performance. Luiz and Hazard do not start for them, there is no Costa to rough us up. They are beatable.

Oh well it's a mental enough team to be comical. Expecting zero points, might as well just get pissed and enjoy the spectacle

Straight in them stoke I think Tymon's shakey 45 mins on Tuesday may have cost him a start today. Berahino needs to impress off the bench to win back a starting spot.

Probably best we can do, as odd as it looks to see a back 5 of striker, right back, centre back, left back, left winger.
Also bit of an acknowledgement that Tymon isn't ready to challenge for a league start even in a bit of an emergency.

It looks as if Chelsea might be doing us a few favours. Their back three is very inexperienced with Christensen and Rudiger alongside Cesar A. Both players are internationals for their countries but they only have a few epl games between them. Then Zappacosta and Hazard are both rested. And...wait for it...so is Cahill.
We could win this game if we try.

After the Bristol abortion, and then the injury situation, and given the opposition, I have no expectation of getting anything from this game. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. Fuck all.
But it's Stoke, so we'll win 2-1 (Chopper and Diouf).
