Both. If there's a match on tv that I can watch I will tend to watch it. It is something I've noticed in a lot of Stoke fans, that it's Stoke and nothing else. Even down to the reserves doesn't come into thought. I don't get it but each to their own! I think for the reserves and youth it's a totally different thing, is for me anyway, if I'm in the area and any of our teams are playing I'll be there. I always think I'd like to take a bigger interest in our other sides but it always seems too much trouble when I can sit in comfort and warmth in my living room and watch another game. It tends to take a Premier League game to get me out of the house though I did go to the Rochdale game. Still on a high from the Arsenal win I think.

This is me all over GB, other than Stoke I'm not interested in any other team, especially Premiership and Champions League......I think it's football and the poncy arrogant top players in general now that's put me off it!!! Only ever watch MotD now if Stoke have won, or at least been involved in a good game, ie, last Sat'day V the shit.....and even then, I usually record it (cuz I'm out on a Sat'day night) and skip forward to the Stoke game!!! I have sky, but I don't subscribe to sky sports, cuz I honestly don't care to watch another team!!! Then there's people on here who go on about players who we may be interested in......I ain't got a clue who most of them are, and yet there's some on here saying he's either "Class" or "shite"???Nah, for me, it's all things Stoke, and Stoke only!!! That's not because they're more interested in the game than you, it's because there's this thing called Football Manager The program that created millions of expert managers!

Nothing to do with Football manager or any other computer game.

I used to watch every game of football being televised, knew every team in the First divisions 1 - 11 in the 70's. Now if there was no Stoke I doubt I'd watch much if any. Matches I do watch are usually hoping a certain team will lose, The Shit, Arsenal, etc, but as soon as they score it's off! Fucking sad old(er) age I suppose! But it's like the Emperor and his new clothes syndrome. I suddenly realised the fucking Premiership was naked greed with little entertainment! I do have BT Sport so watch the European stuff half heartedly and find German League games more entertaining, skill and pace wise, than the Premiershit.

A football fan probably. I can't imagine life without Stoke City but without them I'd have to try and find another club to watch as football has dominated my life both watching and playing. It clearly wouldn't be the same but I'd have to get my fix somewhere.

Reading the Huddy thread, the thought occurred to me that I am not a football fan. I don't ever think about George Best, Pele, Marradonna, Johan Cruyff, Eusebio, let alone Ronaldo, Messi, or Neymar, unless it's in the context of Stoke City. On the other hand, I often find myself thinking about the likes of Sir Stan, Ser Shtan, Dennis Smith, Banksy, Huddy, Steino , Thorne, Hoekstra, Fuller, Huth, etc. Which brings me to the question - If Stoke went Bankrupt and dissolved with no "continuation " team ( gone, nothing), what would you do as far as football goes? Me? I never watch a game that does not have a Stoke angle ( if x team lose against y team Stoke will be promoted, etc). So I imagine I would probably glance at the tables 2/3 times a season, but essentially football would not exist for me. This sums up my attitude to football to a t.

100% both. If Stoke went bump tomorrow I'd pick a League 1 team and support them. It wouldn't be the same but what else are you going to do? Would have to have a few mates with me though. Glory hunter. Why not league 2?

I'm first and foremost a Stoke fan, but I'll watch any game I can get my hands on really, be it English or foreign. This is pretty much my view too. Except the foreign stuff, way too many divers in those games.

Definitely a Stoke fan. Modern football is shite and I've completely had enough of Sky and everything that goes with it. When my contract is up its gone. As for England I can't remember the last game I watched. MOTD... It gets worse every season. If Stoke went bump tomorrow I just wouldn't bother. I hate what football has become.

Stoke fan number one for certain, but I remain a football fan behind that. Yes, the modern game is toss, with its billionaire owners and multi-millionaire players far removed from the lads I first started watching as a nipper in 1974, but I still love the game of football itself, the simplicity, but endless variations, of 22 men on a field with a ball and two sets of goalposts. It really is the greatest game ever invented (with golf a close second for me).

I like other sports but I can take or leave them. I follow the cricket and rugby but nothing more than I hope they win and will watch it if I remember. But I just love football. I can happily spend a Sunday watching football from 11am with the first Serie A game to about midnight as a Brazilian/Argentinian game finishes. Which is the other end of the spectrum really. 😂

Oh I agree, I'm just not sure there's a link is all. Maybe not but a lot of other clubs and their fans seem switched on with it and want that information. It was a shame we got battered in the first leg of the Youth Cup semi final. Just to see how big the interest actually is.

Stoke only, and I'm passionate/crackers about my club. But no Stoke... no interest in nogger at all these days unless it's Stoke related. No Stoke and I'd go and watch my youngest grandson playing rugby for Stoke-on-Trent up at Hartwell Lane and follow his athletics, which he's ace at. I'm enjoying Stoke being in the Premier League, but I hate the Sky/Media concept with a passion.

It can be so stop start it becomes hard to watch at times. I agree with ya the there are a lot within the Prem and the other leagues, but nowhere near as many than abroad.

I went the U18s West Ham game where we won on penalties and really enjoyed it, especially as I took a WHU fan with me Been a couple of games down Clayton Woods too, I'll be going a lot more this season. I haven't compared with other clubs so I couldn't say whether the lack of interest comes from the fans or it's the fault of the club for not publicising the games enough, there was a fair few at the WHU game to be fair but I agree it's not always like that and as good as the attendance seemed, it was probably a lot less than some other clubs get.

Stoke fan first and foremost and wouldn't dream of missing a game, despite being on the other side of the world for the last ten years. I also enjoy going to watch the local side in Richmond, but that's more of a social thing.....a decent number of Brit exciles wearing their own teams tops but loosely supporting their local team across the pond.
I will watch the odd game involving other teams if I've got nowt better to do, but mostly highlights rather than full games. Very little interest in Champions League or any European football....will watch the odd game here and there, but not a big follower at all
I've completely lost interest in watching England, but that's more to do with the complete apathy of the team.....it's seems like they don't really give a shit, so why should I? Watch the odd USA game, but again it's more of a social thing rather than any real interest in following them, and it's certainly not for the football....they're fucking awful for the most part.
