Oh. Youre just shit at maths then I was actually thinking of something else as I was typing hence the initial error. Rooney won't have mitigation of losing his job in the case of excessive ban to fall back on but may escape with a ban that with the course brings it down to 12 months in conjunction with an excessive fine

They don't give a shit though do they because it has so little impact on them it's totally insignificant. If I got banned for drink driving I'd lose my job, probably lose my house (and possibly marriage) have difficulty getting insurance when the ban was up and so become almost unemployable. I know that's a bit extreme but none of this applies to Rooney or any of the other pampered wankers. They could all afford taxi's, chaufeurs, drivers/minders but they don't because they just don't care. They are untouchable and have so much money they can pay their way out of almost any mither. They're the new landed gentry in this new rotten borough. Well said spot on

If I were him I'd be more embarrassed about being pulled over in a VW Beetle! Twat! H Unlikely to be his car isn't it? Driving drunk and without insurance is some offence. Edit - seems it may not have been his car but that of some mystery brunette. Uninsured and pissed, for a mere mortal, would see a hefty driving ban and a short spell in prison.

In the event of an accident his drink driving would invalidate HIS claim, however under the Road Traffic Act any third party claims would still be covered. In this event the Insurance company could in theory claim any costs back off the aforementioned drink driver. I think anyway.......?

Absolute scum - lock him up for life. Could've killed someone. Hopefully Everton will terminate his contract - if they've got any morals, that's what they should do.
On a completely unrelated note, I'm looking forward to seeing Saido start some more games - only wish we still had Jermaine Pennant feeding him some crosses.

And clueless goofballs wanted this vermin associated with our football club...... The only clueless goofballs were the ones who thought we had a chance of signing him. Those who thought he would improve us ten fold and be an absolutely inspired signing were Bob on.

Ironic that, if he hadn't retired from International football, he would have been in Malta last night and would not have been caught for drink driving. Still, as others have said on this thread, the consequences probably won't cause him to lose any sleep - his life will go on without much change other than having to employ a driver whenever he goes out without Coleen to drive him.

If I was a footballer I'd employ a driver. I really don't know why they don't. Not just for the drinking and driving risk with all of the functions they attend, but it can't be good for their muscles and ligaments being stuck behind a wheel, rather than sitting in comfort in the back of a huge car. I would have a driver and Bugatti Royale for him to drive only a weeks wages for Neymar
