Firstly I wasn't quoting you so I don't see how your comment applies? Secondly I find a comment in a 3 page thread about Vale being obsessed quite ironic. Edit- 4 fucking pages! Dear or dear. 4 pages of people ripping the piss. They are fair game. This. Fuck sympathy. We wouldn't get it.

Can just hear " The Wooders" fans checking the 2018/19 fixture list and wondering where is Port Vale?Somewhere in the Welsh Valleys next to an old defunct pit head. There's an old rusty caravan parked next to the pitch. Wild dogs run amok. Feral shoeless children kick an old ball of rags around the bald, grassless pitch, dodging dog turds and empty beer cans. And it rains incessantly. Why did you bring butlins into this?

I regularly see a vale fan that I was suspended from school for fighting with on a match day resplendent in his stoke city shirt. Your team is your team no matter how good or shit they become. Perhaps now is the time for the unwashed to do a Wimbledon and relocate to somewhere more fitting such as a seaside town in Wales whilst selling the ground to Lidl to finance the move. Come on fat lady, do your up most to get it over by Christmas.

Let's cut to the chase
I have many good friends who I think a lot of who are fans of pvfc, they are fantastic people who would go the extra mile if needs be ...BUT when it comes to football I think they are utter twats and they themselves feel the same way and we wouldn't have it any different
Lose that and you've lost the rivalry of what the game is all about at local level
At 4:35pm yesterday they were rock bottom of the football league and life was great

As much fun as it is to laugh at the Vale's current plight, and despite all the replies I'll nodoubt get saying shit like "They're not our rivals", "It's a no win situation" blah blah blah, I'd fucking love it if the FA Cup 3rd draw* came out as Port Vale v Stoke City. *Assuming they get that far! I would prefer it at our place if it had to happen but Jesus imagine we lost, would never hear the end of it! And if we win they will claim some moral victory about value of squads! Either way it's a no win situation but my god shoving 4 past them would be fantastic 4? I'd settle for 8, any less, Hughes Out!! 😉

The thing that sticks in my mind is that they couldn't be very 'committed' Vagrants or they wouldn't consider it. Would I do it? No chance. But if it means that future generations of the family grow up 'Stoke not Vale', then I'm all for it.

I work with Vale fans and would stand shoulder to shoulder with them all day long. I also played Centre Half alongside a Vale fan, and would stick up for each other throughout the whole 90 mins. Put him in the opposition side, and he's fair game, just the same as when Stoke play Vale. Come Monday morning, back to normal for me.

Lets hope that the people that work at PVFC will find jobs should the club fold. Ordinary folk, admin staff, shop staff, groundsmen etc etc etc, or do they deserve to be thrown on the dole for having the cheek to work for PVFC...

I have said it before on a previous thread, but I used to always want Vale and Crewe to do well back in the 70's and 80's when they were both languishing in the 4th division as did many other Stokies. Then suddenly they were on a par with us and briefly in a higher league. Did they want us to do well at that time as a reciprocal gesture when we were languishing? Did they FCUK and it wasn't even friendly piss taking banter. It was nasty and I mean very nasty.
I had a young family at the time and had to supplement my income by working in a Working Mens Club just down from Vale Park on a weekend. A WM club that was Vale through and through. When I told some of the patronage I was a Stokie, expecting just a bit of piss taking and leg pulling, no the mood changed and whilst it never went any further thank god, I always waited until some of the more lively lads shall we say, had all pissed off home at the end of the night before I made my way to the Car and I still looked over my shoulder on the way. I was quite shocked by this attitude, maybe I was just very nieve.
Now the natural pecking order has returned, I say fcuk em. Let them rot and die a painful death. They hate us and I mean hate us with a vengeance. They would wish us the same painful death 100% and they would laugh, dance and piss all over our grave if the boot was on the other foot.
Should I rise above all this? probably! do I want to? Absolutely not! Hell will freeze over long before I have any remote sympathy for their plight nowadays after what I witnessed back then.
To all those who disagree with me, then fine it is your prerogative and I respect that. All I can say is you possibly weren't around during those times and like me who was, there are a lot of people on here who have very long memories.

They said coates was vindictive for not putting a board in their shithole I wondered if this is true,if it is then Mr Coates has gone up 10 fold in my estimation

I think just purely as a selfish thought of Stoke becoming slightly (very very slightly) larger because of Vales demise should appeal to Stoke supporters just because more money for the club and bigger crowds to be proud of. In all seriousness we like to laugh about them being different when in fact they are just people from the same area. Yes some are a bit 'spesh' but also we also have our own titters (just read some of our regular posters on here for inspiration to who that may be!)

I honestly hope, mean and say they go down, they love us losing more than they love their own team winning. Fuck off Port Vale.

I would eat my own arse if our fanbase rose to any noticable degree if the Vale folded.
It's a bollocks argument, if it was the other way round I'd probably go and watch Burton or Stafford Rangers, not Vale though. I wouldn't expect any Vale to start following us.

When they sink into non league and disappear down the pyramid, apart from us pissing ourselves, they'll be no real impact onto our support. The real effect will be in the future generations as absolutely no fecker at all will follow that shite club, and they will pin their colours to the red and white mast! Especially if we can continue our upward curve that's been going in that direction since 2002!
Hate em with a passion, and look forward to seeing Radio Stoke promoting a "Derby match" between PVFC and Leek Town! And I'll have my blue shirt on shouting for Leek to bury em!
Apart from the above I have no issues with that shite from Boslem 😉
