Mentioned after about 2 minutes on the radio (just after Ramsey was booed).

If Bendtner hadn't pulled Shawcross back when he did, Shawcross wouldn't have made that contact! I'll be typing this until the day i die, i swear I will

The **** of a commentator on 5 Live is making my blood boil for his dislike for Stoke supporters and some players too.

Has anything been said about the tackle on Pieters ? Surely if the ref didn't see it or take any action then retrospective action should be taken against the Arsenal player ?

Looked like someone had a good go at ignoring the ball and putting in a full bloodied tackle on pieters leg, just before he hobbled off.
How long is that going to be mentioned for?
Let me guess??
Never

Watched it at home and can't say I really noticed it?
The only time I heard it was just after he'd stamped on Dioufs foot and conceded a free kick, but I assumed that was because of the foul not the history.

I know this is a biannual tradition, but I will keep on saying it - Ramsey was the reckless one by diving in dangerously for the loose ball* and getting his studs caught in the turf. Shawcross simply went to kick the loose ball (and would have got there were it not for the shirt tug).
If Ramsey hadn't dived in recklessly and got his studs caught, he would have been able to move his leg after the contact and the injury (if any at all) would not have been as serious. Strictly speaking of course, if he hadn't dived in recklessly, Shawcross would have got there first and there would have been no collision at all.
*the fact that it was two players going for a loose ball means the event can't be classed as a tackle by either player - it should always be described as a collision.

I always wonder why Peter Storey from Arsenal is never mentioned when he ran the width of The Victoria Ground to kick John Mahoney lying on the ground in his back after all it was on 50 years ago

Definitely the most tedious aspect of every Arsenal game... Funny how they don't mention Arsenal fans booing Shawx Exactly. Far louder and more prolonged booing of Shawcross' name when it was announced than the sporadic and limited booing of Ramsey. But then hey that doesn't fit with the victim/bully scenario does it?

That picture you're referring to is misleading as it's almost certainly a consequence of compression distortion from the telephoto lens. The pic was almost certainly taken after impact.

I have the best perfect still taken form the TV Upload it to a site like imgur, then copy the link, paste it in the reply and put before the link and [/img] after it, like this (but with no dot): [img.] LINK [/img] There might be an easier way, but I don't know it if there is.

I swear that in fifty years' time, there'll be re-enactment groups recreating the incident at summer fetes across the south of England.

Everyone is to blame - we're just as bad as the gooners. To be honest it doesn't bother me one iota - booing Ramsey is now a tradition. It's a pity we didn't give the 'he walks with a limp' song.
I thought Ramsey had a good game yesterday, probably their best player on the day.

Definitely the most tedious aspect of every Arsenal game... Weird and unnecessary? Maybe something to do with the fact that Ramsey refused to accept Shawcross' apology, when it was clear that it wasn't done on purpose. Ryan was clearly genuinely upset. That's why Stoke fans dislike Ramsey.

When will the dumb fucks ever realise it was a total 100% "ACCIDENT".....it's happened in the past and it'll no doubt happen again in the future!!! 🤔
There's no way on this earth that Shawcross went in maliciously and with the intention of breaking Ramsey's leg!!! 😴
Fuck me, Denis smith must hold some grudges!!! 😒

Far more reason to boo him than some incident from the dim and distant past.

I thought Ramsey had a good game yesterday, probably their best player on the day. Heard the limp song 3 times in the SS. To be honest I find that better than booing at this point in time. It's not even embarrassing anymore, there's enough water under the bridge. Arsenal booing Shawcross is just as small time as us booing Ramsey. All just got for tat bollocks. But yeah, the limp song can stay.

Why isn't that mentioned. Odious individual. And another thing: why don't they ever mention we beat them 5-0 the year they won the double? TC scored the MOTD Goal of the Season (I think).
