All UEFA leagues will have to agree it.
Otherwise English football will be up shit creek without a paddle.
Mainly the clubs outside the big four.

I doubt that the rest of Europe will agree to fall in line - not least because all leagues have different starting dates for their seasons. Having to do all Prem to Prem transfers by early August will help but, no doubt, transfersbetween the Prem and the rest of the world will still happen up to the end of August.

Now the Debate on Sky.
Decent debates but will European teams still charge a premium if after a new deadline starts for England will they still get the same hyped price they do to English teams.

If you don't stop all sales and buying before the season, then there's no point. Eg. Barca come in for Coutinho 2nd week of the season, he wants to leave. Liverpool have to sell essentially because he wants to go, and they can't bring anyone else in.

It will stop players being ' injured ' like Coutinho happens to be.

It will stop players being ' injured ' like Coutinho happens to be. No it won't. If the window is still open in the rest of Europe then players can still leave to go abroad but Can't be replaced till the next time the window opens in England. The window needs to close on the same day all over Europe to keep a level playing field.

It might be better to leave it alone for a year than shorten the window in a World Cup year.

We'll never sign anyone. How long does it take us to get players through the door now?

All UEFA leagues will have to agree it. Otherwise English football will be up shit creek without a paddle. Mainly the clubs outside the big four. Sky News are saying that it is only Premiership Teams involved , and only relates to purchasing, so Lower Lge and European players could still come in for Prem Players, so for example Couthinio could still move to Barca, and furthermore only needs a 14 Team majority, and it looks likely to go ahead, with most teams being in favour.

Seems a very strange thing to do unilaterally I can only see that it puts Premier League clubs at a disadvantage over their European counterparts. It also seems grossly unfair on promoted clubs who have much more business to try to complete in a shorter space of time. Maybe that's the real reason they will pass it to give the incumbents a built in advantage.

Personally I would have the window open from June 1st- 31st July, clearly it would be best if that was for all teams in Europe in all divisions but I doubt that would get through. I would also scrap the January window too as that is usually a bun fight for teams panicking down the bottom
Wishful thinking though I think

There is no way the other UEFA leagues are going to agree to this. For instance the leagues in Spain and Germany haven't even started yet, so why should they shut down business early?

I don't think this is a good idea. There won't be many transfers of international players done while the World Cup is going on and that doesn't finish until July 15th. So that will only leave about a month to sign players. Normally Scholes and Cartwright spend the first month of the window monitoring, considering and putting players on our radar. And you just know they will book their holidays during this time! There is also the danger that a European club will come in with a big bid for Shaqiri after our window has shut, and we won't be able to replace him.

They should say that the window will close on a date between July 20th and July 31st and will give 24 hours notice to the clubs. During that period clubs/players/agents will treat it as the last day of the window and get their business done as it may be too late tomorrow. Seems to take about 3 hours on the final day to conclude a deal.

It's ironic that Pulis agreed he was the main culprit for last minute signings
