The whole league can unite in laughing at Wet Sham. Fucking abysmal team Hart could have done better with Pogba's but that's about it Zabaleta was our best defender AND attacking midfielder by a country mile Masuaku overrated (suprise suprise) Arnautovic quiet is he politest way to put it Ayew dogshit on the wing as normal Obiang and Fernandes were poor Noble out best CM by far Hernandez needs Lanzini and Antonio back in our XI, our other attacking support is crap Rice will be a good player, stuck his foot in more than Obiang and Fernandes in midfield Sakho didn't look interested after 5 mins Despite a lot of ****... first half I thought was promising... we lacked some steal in the middle (Carvalho) and some quality in our attacking midfielders (Antonio and Lanzini) If we get Carvalho in, and at least Antonio back (hopefully Lanzini too) I think we will beat Southampton and everyone can calm down

And Merson thinks we'll struggle because he's fucked off! Next week Mers will be saying i told you arnie was very hit and miss. Arnie is not the biggest star in that squad, that's the difference. At stoke it was all built around arnie as we put all our creative eggs in his basket. His chin will drop faster than a rock when he realises it isn't all about him. Spot on 👍

Arnie thought his boots were very big. They were at Stoke and we forgave his indiscretions, his tantrums, his inconsistencies and his attitude. Good luck Arnie, the WHU fraternity will be wanting to shove those bubbles up your arse, rightly or wrongly, we'll see!

Off subject a bit. What happened to the rulling that away fans have to be close to the pitch now. Spuds fans in the gods at Newcastle!? Certain clubs were given a special dispensation based on them not being able to segregate safely I read somewhere..... Bet they'd soon sort it if a points penalty was introduced. All the money they get Newcastle should be mate to get it sorted ASAP way they treat away fans !

Arnie wanted a billy big time move and he's got one. He needs to prove that he is billy big time and not the show pony we know he can be at times. Bad start for West Ham though, can hardly be a "Super" Sunday for them.

Did Man City buy the wrong Kyle? There can't be many times a player has been replaced with another of the same name (Kyle Walker-Peters)?
As for Arnautovic - sometimes clubs suit players at a certain time in their career and vice-versa (e.g. Etherington to name just one other). Given his career before he came here, I didn't think Arnie would risk making a sideways move at all. It could work out for him, but it wouldn't surprise me if he's considered a flop (based on £20m+).

I was talking to a West Ham fan at work. When it was in the press that the whole deal for Arnie was £51 million (fee + wages) I said to the guy that that deal will get Bilic the sack,I've seen nothing to change my mind.
I reckon West Ham will soon struggle financially, the seem to be signing ageing players on long contracts for big money.

One of the major criticisms on this board over the past few weeks has been 'why is it so hard for us to sign players, West Ham don't seem to have any bother' - have you discovered why?

The arnie deal is staggering. 15 million or less in today's market I think folks would soften and give him time. The fact he pushed for the move and the price tag have heaped far more pressure on him to hit the ground running big time

We all know why they have no trouble - wages. The players we've missed out on,it came down to wages. I for one am glad that we won't pay over the odds for players. Always best to walk away if the deal isn't right. The clubs who've thrown money at the team in the past are too numerous to mention, but they are certainly paying for it now.

I took some pleasure watching the game. It was sad at the same time. I honestly think that we will finish above them. Goodbye Arnie.

The Shit were impressive without ever getting out of second gear. Spoz won easy after Shelvey's stupidity but there are bigger challenges ahead.

The Shit were impressive without ever getting out of second gear. Spoz won easy after Shelvey's stupidity but there are bigger challenges ahead. What impressed me was United passing. They were continually putting quality through balls to people moving into spaces and getting behind WHU defence. The United players were getting caught too often off-side; when they perfect that they are going to be devastating.

Some of you can continue your stupid abuse on Arni, disregarding what he has delivered for this club over 4 years - goals, assists, good football and a loooooooooooot of money!!
It´s funny to see how dumb some user are here inside.
The game yesterday has no real validity, as key players like Lanzini, Antonio and Carrol are injured.
Arni will play good there, that´s for sure.

There will be many more 4 goal or higher hammering by the top teams this season. I thought West Ham did okay first half and had a good chance at 1-0 but were worn down second half. Attacking of the top teams is frightening, Arsenal won the other night without a defence. I think Arnie will be like he was for Stoke, inconsistent but great at times
