The announcement video is a bit cringe and ill-advised though Bit of a Mick McCarthy "One in the hole, you say?" at the end too.

Disagree it's a big up yours to everyone (including 90% of posters on here) I like it. About time the 'fuck you all' mentality came back. This! Fantastic signing from the club! Really shrewd business in this window! Really happy so far!

Think we should've saved that kind of video for when/if we actually spend big money, not on a loan signing anyway, welcome Jese.

Do we know if there is an option to buy? I know that one report said no but seems unlikely we would just not insist on something.

I bet he would be gutted if he thought you had a low opinion of him.😂😂😂 His home town club Las Palmas said "Upon the conclusion of Jesé's loan agreement, Las Palmas elected not to attempt to sign him permanently, with his poor overall performance, high salary demands and off-field behaviour ultimately contributing to the club's decision" So, they couldn't afford to sign him permanently, basically? The club president had been trying to persuade him to stay on as a loanee and the manager had hoped he would sign up, so he couldn't have been that bad (either in playing terms or off-field behaviour). He wanted a permanent switch - www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4511696/PSG-outcast-Jese-Rodriguez-wants-permanent-Las-Palmas-move.htmlThey said they wanted to make it permanent too, but his 'wages are very high' - thesportmag.com/las-palmas-wants-sign-jese-rodriguez-permanently/So, they wanted to extend his loan (in all likeliness because PSG were paying a big chunk of wages they couldn't afford) - www.espn.co.uk/football/soccer-transfers/story/3142829/psgs-jese-rodriguez-should-stay-with-us-las-palmas-president-ramirezThey couldn't make it permanent, so went their separate ways. He was undoubtedly inconsistent whilst at Las Palmas, but there also seemed to be an unrealistic expectation placed on his shoulders by his hometown club. It looks, to me at least, he didn't manage to hit those Real Madrid heights and the club as a whole were disappointed, especially if they'd stretched themselves to bring him there. They couldn't afford him and put a good portion of the blame onto him.

A striker, midfielder and at least 1 wingback (2 in a dream world) left to sign. Chop-chop boys.

I'm sure we could buy him if all goes well.
Just because there isn't an option, doesn't mean we can't discuss it following the loan....

Pleased with the signing but the video is very silly and will see us on the end of some deserved criticism.
I love to see us hand some stick back but there are times and places. This is neither.

Nothing says ambition like several free transfers, loans and getting rid of a goal scorer that was never given a chance for £5m. Happy he's with us, but he's not and will likely never be our player. Now fuck off and win a cup and prove me wrong.

Welcome Jesé.
Hoping you can refind that magical form that you had at Madrid.
The SCFC faithful will adore you.
