With the sleepy nature of the club over the last year the only thing we'll be first to is relegation.

Would have thought there will be plenty before him. It has already been flagged that we have a difficult start, so I think , unless itis particularly catastrophic, the owners will be patient.

And what if he decides to walk if his transfer targets are constantly being lost by our, and I use this term loosely, 'Transfer Team'...?

On Talk Sport this morning some bird from one of the major bookmakers was talking about the odds on "The Sack Race" and relegation favourites etc.
Neither Hughes or Stoke got a mention.
I am not worried in the least.

A ceartainly very well qualified manager from the NE is making noises at the moment and is becoming frustrated that they can not land Joselau. We could do a swap and keep the Spaniard. ??

I found the links interesting and amusing. We and our manager are not liked; so what's new? Interesting that WBA consider the loss of Fletcher a major blow.

Listening to a few on here he should of gone months ago.
We do seem to be transition, many golden oldies gone, a few coming in
I think expectation has grown exponentially 😬
Many no longer satisfied with just being in the top league and I wonder if those mentioned in article can see that. Look at Southampton sacking a bloke who got them eighth!
For me it's like the X Factor - everyone wants to win the league. Ambition is good but it has to be tinged with realism.
For me above tenth is fantastic.
17th and above acceptable if a big gap between us and the relegated.
Relegation should get him sacked
If he fails to improve on last year the fans won't have it and Coates will too, possibly

I'm sure that can't be right, I've been reading on here that we've only signed players nobody at all wants during this window, are you telling me these 'experts' are talking shit? You'll be telling me Hull didn't want to lose Tymon next...

The Racing Post's Premier League guide that was out in the week-had us finishing 18th and tipped Hughes as a good bet for the chop.

Considering our "incoming" signings so far, and our misshapen look during preseason, it wouldn't surprise me....
However, I'm personally hoping he proves every fucker wrong!!!

I don't think a team with Shaqiri, Zouma/Shawcross and Butland can go down. Take them out of the equation then definitely can happen.

Well one things for sure, 60% of posters will be able to say "I told you so" when we get relegated or they will be as sick as a sickly thing with all the humble pie they will have to eat. Obviously they should have some money in their pockets if they follow their heads and not their hearts and stick some money on the certainty that is the fall out of the Premier.

Having Jack, Shawcross, Zouma and Fletcher will make us a more solid unit than we were at the start of last season. Im calling:
Everton: L Arsenal: D West Brom: W Man UTD: D Newcastle: W Chelsea: L Southampton: W
Thats 11 points from 7 rather than 3 like last year

With our record of the last season and a half and the start we have to the season(hard games) it doesn't take a rocket scientist to workout he'll be under pressure if we start poorly.I personally think he'll get until the October international break if things go tits up

I'm not optimistic about results but it would be total hypocracy from the owners to sack Hughes if they haven't invested significantly before the window closes. (That said it's incumbent on the management team to improve our tactics and at least get the best out of what we have - last season was not one they could be proud of)

A distinct possibility
Our results have been relegation form since berahino signed
And the few points we have picked up seem to have come from either subbing him off or dropping him
Basically if he sticks with berahino he will get him sacked.
But I don't think he will.
My guess is he will do an imbula style climbdown with his ludicrous assertion that 12 million on Bera his money well spend
Having said that he is clearly relying on crouchy joselu and diouf to get him off the hook. If joselu goes to newcastle I could definitely see hughes getting himself sacked.

Thank God for that, I was getting worried about our lack of transfer activity and 18 months of poor form, but it's ok some bint who stocks the pens up at Coral forgot to mention us in an interview.
