I've just had a look and the Victor carried on until 1992 when it just stopped being printed after 1692 editions. The Hornet eventually merged with the Hotspur but there is no more info when that stopped being produced. The Jag struggled after a while and eventually merged with the Tiger but was apparently fairly short lived after that and stopped being produced. I still had it when it became Tiger and Jag, then they dropped the Jag bit and it was Tiger for a while, then they merged it with Scorcher and it became Tiger and Scorcher, think they might have dropped the Scorcher later but I'd joined the Navy by then. We also had The Valiant for a while which I'm pretty sure merged with The Victor and it was Victor and Valiant for a while before dropping the Valiant bit. That's how I've always remembered it anyway Was it a choice between The Valiant or soap in your household then Ely?

Why would a mud wasp be messing about in wood ? He lives in a mud hut?

This was in the days when it was acceptable to show a little benevolence to our unwashed friends, my Dad even did a bit of scouting for them

Why would a mud wasp be messing about in wood ? He lives in a mud hut? Looks like the standard waspy cardboardy type thing. About the same size as a really, really big, erect ladies nipple.

He is a troublemaker. Brawling at Ascot now. How the fuck is that 'the full tape'? You cannot see how it started, are you sure he wasn't attacked first?

They contribute nothing to their environment, they're dangerous, they have no respect for you or your rules in your house and when it does eventually sting you you'll curse yourself for not flattening the little fucker outright.

Had an interesting chat with a beekeeper mate last neet. The queen from one of his colonies has fucked off, and he's lost her. The colony goes a bit crazy and the bees begin to die in huge numbers, had to have bee pyres, to avoid infection etc. The only way of rescuing the situation is to try and trick the remaining colony into producing a new queen. Have to put a frame of eggs into the hive and hope that a grub or two gets nurtured into a new queen. Reckons that his honey yield is half of this time last year, largely down to the recent rain/weather. Fascinating stuff, been enjoying Chris Packham's 'Live Hive' thing on iplayer.

You'll find the guy he hit verbally abused him and his wife for a good while all whilst following him back to his coach. The guy even apologised to him after the event via phone call. I arnt a fan of him either
