It'd take all of the Arnautovic money to get Spartak to even blink, bin dippers were quoted £25m in January. 20 mil + either Bojan or Imbula.

I haven't got a fucking clue who Promes is, but he sounds good, so sign the bastard 43 goals in 81 games for Spartak Moscow. Make of that what you will. He's 25 and entering his prime. Would be a class signing. From the wing? Not bad at all. Better than Arnie, baring in mind he's in the Russian Prem atm? I know nothing about Russian football compared to the main European leagues

Whoever it is needs to be a proper pacey winger who can take on a man and deliver into the box.

He's the same mould as Shaq really, likes to cut inside he's a lot faster than Shaq though. Good skill and very intelligent on and off the ball. His whole career so far playing for Fc Twente and Spartak show 112 games and 54 goals. But as mentioned, the PL truly is a different monster.

Whats wrong with Sobhi as first choice with Ngoy and Verlinden as cover. Sobhi was always signed to replace Arnie this season, Hughes comments at the end of the season alluded to Arnie being sold now.
We need to keep our focus on CB until Zouma and BMI have signed.

If he could bring that into the PL, sounds like we'd have a good player on our hands. That's if we're actually scouting and monitoring him of course

Just checking - have Spartak Moscow got a nutter owner? A former Russian military officer. A billionaire. Going up against Scholes, what could go wrong with this one? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leonid_FedunThey're the club of the Russian army aren't they?

Arnie scored 22 goals in 4 seasons, Sobhi will be able to replace that this season and without taking 6 chances to convert one. You are completely right bout the academy lads; who was the last academy player anywhere who wasnt raw? Giving them chances is the only way. The great thing is they couldn't be more different. Ngoy is all about pace and well timed runs, Verlinden all about touch and cutting inside. If we need an experienced stop gap we have diouf too who is no worse than Walters was for us in that position. Seriously, at the moment the only reason we will get dragged into trouble is because fans will drag players morale down in the first few games. I can understand that people don't like change but it has to happen at some point.

I know our transfer team of late have been wanky-o fantastico, but I'll still bang the Ramadan drum, and I would like to think surely they have an inkling of who to replace, maybe where the Chadli thing has come from? A player the manager doesn't seem to trust but I do agree with you! I'd hope we'd have a list as long as your arm of wing targets and I'd hope the first enquiries had already gone in. With respect, I don't actually thing you're that bad of a poster anymore. But you have absolutely no idea Hughes doesn't rate Ramadan and in fact, he could have played an absolute blinder with how little he played him last season, something us mere mortal supporters wouldn't understand at face value.

I don`t belive we are after Kono and Yarmo this time, but Promes, Chadli and Luan are all attacking midfielders that can play right, left and center.

Ramadan played 19 games last season and missed a month with the African Cup of Nations. Now he could, should, have played (and started) more games but that's a lot of appearances for a player the manager doesn't rate.

Correct. 8 goals in 35 games for Schalke. Overrated but probably could do a job here.

Yes I do. What I've been told tallies with the lies around his injury and how little he actually played. I also know Ramadan will be moving his wife over, which is ace news for the long term! 👍

Bayern makes some good points...particularly about Shaq, a few games in and his calves will give way suddenly Verlinden is thrown into the starting xi. It's lazy talk about Yarmo and Kono I guess. But surely the recruitment team have other names in their enormous portfolio of scouting notes? Most people could have predicted Arnie's departure it's no surprise...so we must be someway to securing another wide attacking player... I'd really hope that a few enquiries had been made. Cruickshank replying is interesting too. It shows stress imo He doesn't normally get involved, as he shouldn't, it's thoroughly unprofessional. Is he pissed off that Pete actually isn't far off and could have fucked that up? Is he pissed off that the calibre of player we're actually after isn't close? Was it just sheer frustration? It's out of character for him. And very interesting! Personally, find it total uninteresting as it becomes an exercise in psychobabble. You asked 4 questions that nobody on this forum can possibly ANSWER. It's just conjecture to which all and any answers are equally valid. As for the implication of stress, that's highly debatable especially amongst us non-psychiatrists

It's odd beyond belief and he shouldn't be doing it as he's acknowledged by deleting the tweet. The questions weren't there to be answered, just me pondering. I could ask a psychologist, close enough right?
