I can play the drums if that helps..... Self taught. When I used to live in London, there was a sound studio in Maida Vale, and whilst walking in the area one day I stuck my nose round the door and started chatting to the guy that owned it.
You could hire a sound booth for 25 quid an hour and take along a cd.
He would sample the drums out of the cd and then you could play the drums in time to the track on the set in the studio. After you could listen back to where your mistakes were so you could learn for the next time.
Absolutely loved it after a shit week at work- you just go down to the studio and smash the fuck out of the drum set!
Would love to see how shit I am now though- haven’t picked up a set of sticks for nigh on a decade..... which begs the question - can I still play??

I can play the drums too - I guess anyone can play the guitar the same as anyone can sing, just not necessarily very well

Drums is something I've always fancied. I bought myself an electric kit a few year ago. Then I was able to practice on a real kit, and seemingly lost the ability to play on the electric kit. My biggest problem with drums is sync'ing my feet and hands, I always found I was too eager on the hi-hat. I was definitely the drummer who got faster and faster.

I played the side drum in a Scottish Pipe Band. Played at Hampden Park for the 1971 SFA Cup Final and Royal Tournament at Earle's Court plus loads of other venues in Scotland and Nortbern England.

Haven't got a musical fibre in my body sadly but managed to knock out a decent recorder out of bamboo when I was at primary school. If I started tomorrow how long until you get up to this level I wonder.

I can play the drums too - I guess anyone can play the guitar the same as anyone can sing, just not necessarily very well I don’t know how you started but I took in Pink Floyd cds to start off with when I began..... once I got the basics right I moved onto AC/DC and copied Powerage until I wore the cd out haha, followed by If you want blood. The double bass is a right bastard to master though. Not in the same league as Joey Jordison I’m afraid..... wish I was !!!!!!

Another drummer here....
Was in a covers band for years till I quit to become a father.
Got an electronic kit in the loft that I haven't played since my lad was born last year.
