Always thought the majority of those Hunt Sabatters, Class War etc. folks were a bit too one-dimensional for me. Same with the unfocused wildantiGlobal destructive insular fools. Agree with the causes but got turned off during the ANL march on the BNP bookshop. (Terrible Steven Lawrence thing). Hafe-enders being chucked at police neddies and all that. And when they released all them mink.
Too much collateral damage.
There needs to be extremists of every ilk while we steer towards the middle ground and calmer waters.
Whoever you vote for Government wins.

I think the rise of the far left is every bit as concerning as the rise of the far right, and the rise of extremism in general. And should be considered in that context and not in isolation. We live in an age of extremes that is dangerously similar in many ways to the 1930s, yet we refuse to learn the lessons from that time. Maybe because that generation is sadly fading from living memory. Is that okay? Whoa, whoa, whoa. Is this the same generation that is 'sadly fading from memory' who get absolutely slaughtered by the far-left nutjobs on here for voting for Brexit, and not voting for Corbyn? I haven't seen anyone on here have a go at that generation. As you've asked of others above, do you have any evidence of that claim mate? I have ancestors who fought in WW2 who'd have had no issue with Jeremy Corbyn - indeed, they probably voted for his more radical predecessor Clement Attlee. Why do you persist in making such sweeping and monumentally unrepresentative generalisations of entire generations?

So-called 'anti-fascists' are the closest thing to actual fascists in the Western world. They're one of the most intolerant, violent groups of people around. The antifa morons are an absolute gift to the Kim Jong Uns, Putins and Trumps of this world.

I don't know exactly what the meeting at King's college was about, but to try to shut down free speech by intimidation and violence seems wrong to me....it seems that we are heading in a sad direction if this increases.

"I’m shocked to have to report that the behaviour of these protestors was particularly aggressive and violent. Some of the attendees and our security staff were injured when demonstrators - some of them masked and hooded - forced their way into the lecture hall. A smoke bomb was thrown. The whole event was a frightening experience for everybody who was there, including staff who were doing their job. My personal thanks to our quick-thinking and highly professional security staff, who despite having put enhanced security in place, found themselves having to handle this dangerous situation. Providing an environment for open and uncensored debate on issues, even when controversial and conflicting views are likely to be aired, is an integral way that King’s can create an open and inspiring place to learn. These events should absolutely be able to take place without fear of violence and intimidation." I see Antifa are at it again, putting journalists in hospital & advancing the oh-so-funny 'milkshaking' to include quick lime & cement. Such lovely, tolerant people. I bet Jo Brand is a fan.
