Barmy, as is £30m for Michael Keane.
This has to come crashing down at some point, surely these increases in spending can't be sustained?

Please not Sakho. We should remember his performance against us at Anfield in that fateful semi final - he was utter rubbish. Let's not go there and instead get Shawcross contract sorted and get Bruno in. Maybe that's the plan anyway, but in any event, no Sakho please!

This 30 million has be weighed against the risk of relegation, which would cost way more than 30 million. That suggests buying Sakho is the difference between relegation and staying in the Prem. I doubt there are few players in the world (like Messi) who would make that much difference to a team. Sakho can't get into the Liverpool side and played for a team that finished blow us, despite every effort on our part to throw points away. I was thinking more along the lines of Sakho + BMI for 30 million, which would be an upgrade on Shawcross plus either Wollscheidt or Cameron, which is what we are looking at right now.

Sounds very steep! Do they actually want to sell? I think somewhere between £15-20M is much more realistic as he comes with a history as well. He is a solid defender though and was one of the reasons for Palace's good spell near the end of the season. When he got injured their form dropped again.

Imagine the pissy knickers amongst Stoke fans when we sign Sakho for £30million and we concede a goal in the first game...

Going by the media, Stoke are the poorest club in PL history and therefore we must sell half the squad before we can make a signing.
This is a complete non-starter as there is no way the club would be tracking a player valued at £30m.
£10m plus a bag of cheesy wotsits will be our only offer here.

May throw in a can of cheap Cola as well if we are feeling devilish!

He's a leader.
He's a French International.
He's played regularly for Liverpool.
I can see why people don't want him (forget the fee, it's not your money)

It would have to be a cheap imitation of rola cola but with add on incentives on paying it back, 11p a week plus half a chocolate Freddo.

I think our first choice is Bruno, but as we seem to struggle to bring him in we are open to other alternatives. Sakho, in my opinion is even better than Bruno, but I can't see us dishing out close to £30M for a central defender. I even think £20M will be too steep for us! Anyway I don't think we will go for both with Sweeney and Souttar almost ready for the step up, at least Sweeney is. We also have Cameron, Wolly and Muni on our books who can play there, but I guess Wolly and Muni will be gone as quickly as we get replacements in. Right now I don't think we are in a position where we can sell them.

Id rather invest in a decent scouting system and buy players cheaper but he is a good centre half , made a hige difference to Palace when he went there
