Hope everyone had a great Christmas with not "too much" imbibing and overeating ! Any news from the gaffer about what time kick off is today ? I'm planning on our usual mid-day game so I've been on the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon for brekkie. Hopefully we can send the opposition back empty handed today. COYMEEFC Did a xmas day parkrun to burn off a few calories before I started, this is how I felt about 8pm on Xmas day Attachment Deleted

I've had more than enough of the opposition teams always using dirty tricks so I've been studying the Belker M.O. very closely and am going to start bringing his influence into the team by wearing a black woollen hat and growling a lot, and when members of the other team start pulling that 'accidentally getting a bit too close act and doing the octopus arms' tactics on me an' Sal I shall go 'grrrrrrrrrrr' and start calling them 'dogbreath' or 'hairball' and asking them if they want me to rip their lungs out. Gonna look so cute, ain't I???!!! (Especially with the painted-on five o'clock shadow!) I won't bother with the cigar, though.

As for the removal of internal organs (lungs) you whip em out and the rest of us will provide cover, sort of.

;Had a fantastic impromptu three team six a side tournament of the 'Game That Shall Not Speak It's Name' last neet.
Three teams of six, with three subs. Each manager asked to justify their team selections {funny.}
Team 1. Team Mayhem, mascot Peacock, suit Clubs. Energy Female.
Team notes/manager: Not interested in the idea of nogger but fully cogniscant with the concept of luck/chance/mind control, the roll of the dice and shuffle of the cards etc. Grasped the concept. And picked a funky outfit to boot. Preferred Formation: 221 changeable. Team Strip: Purple
Goalie Represented by the Jack of Clubs: Stephen Seagall Defence 8 of Clubs: Sergio Ramos {he's a dirty b* in't he?} 10 of Clubs: Rob Kardashian {top Defender apparently} Midfield 7 of Clubs Thor 5 of Clubs Jack Sparrow {Captain. Black Joker too}. Attack Ace of Clubs: Martin Luther King
Subs Queen of Clubs: Claire Balding King of Clubs: Mike Tyson 9 of Clubs: Tupac
Team 2. Ratchets, mascot the Spider Monkey, suit Spades Energy Male Team notes/manager: Stoke fan, casino literate. Hard work {Spades}. Owt with dice/cards/booze etc is cool. Preferred Formation: 221 Team strip: Grey
Goalie Jack of Spades: Pablo Escobar Defence 3 of Spades: Capt. Planet {shrugged shoulders} 2 of Spades: Goliath Midfield 4 of Spades: Charles Bronson {Convict & Captain Black Joker}["I know he's likely to get sent off but I'll risk it."] 9 of Spades: Pablo Picasso {creative m/f} Attack Ace of Spades: Einstein
Subs Queen of Clubs: Gok Wan King of Clubs: Bucky O'Hare{?} 10 of Clubs: Daniella Westbrook {energy off the bench}
Team 3 Team Cheees mascot Old Goat, suit Hearts Team notes/Manager: Successfullish manager of renegade outfit EEFC, taking it a bit seriously, a few tricks up his sleeeve, though rather excited to get the opp to take part in this pro celebrity comp. {Me unleashing the game on an unwitting public}. Preferred Formation: 212 but adaptable. Strip: Biege/Buff
Goalie Jack of Hearts: Banksy Defence 2 of Hearts: Atticus Finch 3 of Hearts: Hermestristmagistus {Capt Red Joker} Midfield 5 of Hearts: Peter Beardsley Attack 8 of Hearts: Bob Latchford Ace of Hearts: Geronimo
Subs 6 of Hearts: Snoop Dogg Queen of Hearts: Virgin Mary King of Hearts: Arthur, Uther Pendragon etc.
The TournamENT Played for the honour of holding an old broken replica {Subbuteo} FA Cup, one handle broken {inch and a half tall}. A game of two halves. Two rolls of the dice per participant each match. Three dice were rolled at once, from the cup onto the 'pitch'.. {Big yellow Matchday Dice, and two smaller Red Dice}. The score on the main yellow dice was halved, rounded up or down depending on the score on the two accompanying Red dice, added up, 6 or above and round up half scores. Roll a 6 = 0 goals. Simplified rules but after a few practice throws it became clear that there needed to be a some additions to the framework. It soon evolved into a close approximation of the EEFC 'Rules of Engagement'. Participants taking notes tracking their players involvement etc. Half time an opportunity to make changes, and the losing team rolls the Disciplinary and Injury Dice {the nuances of which I won't go into here.} There was a shuffle of the cards for goal scorers and assists which informed half time subbing/next match line up etc, but we didn't get into individual player ratings. Lots were drawn for the who plays who, the home or the away and that {first roll}. Teams of six cards laid out on the playing surface in the preferred formation. Roll of the dice....
From the cave scribblings I retrieved this morning, the thing went like this....
Ratchets 3 v 3 Cheees Cheees 2v1 up at half time, mar mate brought Daniella Westbrook on for Einstein at hafe time and crawled his way back into the tie. 8 against 5 in the corners to moi. Bronson scored a brace, couldn't read the writing of who scored for me. I won on penalties.
Chees 3 v 2 Mayhem 3 v 2 half time, hatrick from Hermestristmagistus. Mayhem brought Claire Balding and Tupac on for Sparrow and Thor. No changes for Team Chees, kept his nerve. No goals second half both Teams rolled a matchday die 6.
Ratchets 2 v 3 Mayhem 1 v 1 at half time. neither team made changes and forged on, though both had different formations and line ups from the original fixtures. Good game, touch of crowd trouble.
Final Cheees 3 v 3 Mayhem Tense encounter 2 v 2 half time. Changes made by Mayhem, Cheees stuck. 3 v 3 full time, Mayhem won on pens {f*ckers}, met with much exhuberation.
Further facts, stats and that {cautions, injuries, scorers. corners. pens etc} lost in the moment. Oh how we laughed.
Worked rather well until there was talk of transfer negotiations for certain 'lucky' cards.. snacks, booze, then coins...
Wonder if there'll be owt happening this window?
UIMS

Any outfit that's got Claire Balding and Mike Tyson as subs is a force to be reckoned with. 2-2-1 is the way forward.

There must have been quite a lot of festive cheer flowing to come up with some of those team selections, Balding, Sparrow, Westbrook, Einstein, Atticus Finch etc Did you pick up any interesting tactical tweaks or substitution tactics that can be used to EEFC advantage ? (How long did it take you to type that report ?) Just about to have brekkie and then a final session of topping up the Om in readiness for the EEFC game !

Happy 2019 to everyone!
After today's shocker decided to play the threee EEFC holiday fixtures in one go. Once I've thawed out and stuff.
Palace vs EEFC EEFC v Leicester SPurs v EEFC
That'll give a kind of halfway point to collate the stats and facts and that.
All players will get a run out over the three games.
kick offs start 8pm-ish. {Allowing time for the opposition to arrive.} Warming up the Ommmmm...

Wow - bit of a marathon session there Gaffer ! Any strategic loading of the dice been sorted out ?
Hope you and all EEFC team members had a great Christmas but didn't forget to keep in tip top shape and form ready for our games.
I'm just recovering from this afternoon's latest example of how not to play, and have had a double boost of Om ready for tonight !

COYMEEFC Awaiting the arrival of the opposition {guests} before DLC rulings. Think it'll be level playing field for both teams each half. Roll 1=1, 2=2, etc 6 = 0 goals. {For that sense of realism, numbers halved {rounding up/down decided by {extra}two red dice.} Eg. roll a 3 on the yellow Matchday die, with a 4 and a 5 {9} on the red dice = 1.5 goals, rounded up because of 9 on the red dice = 2 goals. etc. Kick offs delayed hafe an hour or so. They'll be done toneet. UIMS

Think I've been overdoing the cough medicine. Could have sworn it said two dessert spoons every 4 minutes. My performances may have been a tad random; the dice and cards will no doubt reveal all.
Feeling much better now and over the temporary fancy dress fetish. Normal kit will be resumed from now on. The new gorilla costume and pink basque in my wardrobe have nothing to do with football, honest.
The cough syrup-induced out-of-body experiences were most unsettling. I found myself posting over on the football board. Still, I escaped lightly. Nobody insulted me or told me I should be in school. Might be a while before I risk my sanity over on the dark side again.
Been researching some national food days, ever in search of an improving diet. Today was national cassoulet day in the U.S. A good day, I'm feeling full and happy. Also national apricot day. Yummy. Weather forecast is high winds tomorrow after beans and apricots.
