And so on to the Foxes... Thought it best to co-ordinate the fixture with the real SCFC so sat 3pm ish for the turn of the cards, roll of the dice... Tweaks not changes.. Chuffed moved to the no. 10 role, Badger on the wing{back}... Lots of shouting, baying etc.... Foxes v EEFC
Saturday 17/10/20 Cheees {Jack Clubs} Northy {2 Clubs} Murphs {4 Clubs} Deeeside {3 Clubs + Joker} Felonious {5 Clubs} Quietman {7 Clubs} Pearo {6 Clubs + King Captaincy} Badger {8 Clubs} Chuffed {10 Clubs} Assassin {Ace Clubs} MSal {9 Clubs + Queen Clubs {last season's top scorer}
Skeletal/Ghostly/Tentative bench: Batth HarryB RogerJ etc... A tune for a training in the interim.... Ommmmm.... View haloooo! toot toot, tally ho! I shall naturally be wearing the hunting pink jacket, top hat, jodhpurs and riding boots (without spurs). A family-sized pack of crisps in one pocket and a couple of bags of glacier mints in the other.
Quietman {7 Clubs} ? Well I'm not overly dextrous but I shall endeavour to carry seven of them & put them to good use stunning Foxes. Not to self - they are absolutely only for use on Foxes; no Badgers are to be harmed.

Some inspiration for Murph and Sal, in the unlikely event they might need it. Some of the finest Prog ever made:

So what’s everyone’s plans for the pre match meal? I’m already thinking about it. Think I’m going to go for cowboy beans, bags of protein. A heady mix of beans, tomatoes, chipolata sausages, fried onions, smoked paprika and mustard all in one pan. After that the Foxes right back won’t come near me as I’ll be surrounded by a haze of pungency 😀

Just had a practice match with the bespoke die vs a {select} visitor {representing Florence Colliery, suit of Hearts..} Unfortunately I lost 7 v 0 .. which perhaps doesn't bode well, but may go some way to prove the Impartiality of the 'roll of the Dice'... Their goals were Direct Free Kick, Penalty, Penalty, Worldy, Worldy, Direct Fk, Tap in...
6 v 0 down at half time, luckily I rolled an Oranges & Magik on the Disciplinary Die, so no repercussions.. Two bookings second half that don't carry over into the Prem...
I/we took one helluva thumping...

Fray Bentos Cheese & Onion pie and {Branston} Beanz for the post match meal... The jury is out on that molten pale yellowish goo and conspicuous 'chunks', it's potentially defamation of the flaky pastry in a tin concept.. Jury Out. Still lessons learned this evening... Mercury in retro...

Don't even think about venturing infield. I would be carrying a canary to warn of gas leaks but that might attract too many Foxes my way.
I believe the traditional pre-hunt fare is punch and fruit cake.
I'll substitute a hip flask of brandy for the punch, though. Seeing as what foxes do to our lovely wild hare population, I'll be dishing out rabbit punches during the match. I'm relying on Pearo here to distract the ref with any spare hotdogs** he might have. **Hothounds?

I'll be going down the route of traditional chilli, rice and chips with extra garlic bread, nothing too heavy of course and the inspiration behind many a rapid sprint. Has the additional bonus of focusing the mind on the task in hand. Bring it on, them there foxes don't have prayer. COYMEEFC.

I'll be stuffing a couple more sherbet fountains down each sock (or stockings as Nige would say) just to keep me buzzing (or fizzing) through the game. It worked for me in the last game so I'm hoping the effect carrieson against the Foxes. I've got a bag full if anybody would like a pick-me-up before the game.

Patrolling the centre cirtle in your white stockings with a Sherbet Fountains like sticks of dynamite protruding from the shin pads (I’m guessing you’re a socks down kind of guy). Foxes are renowned for making errors when seeing dynamite, similar to cartoon coyotes. They’ll be like putty in our hands!

Fair point Q well made. 👍 Another reason for brown carpet Chuffed👀 Can we have SOME DECORUM ON HERE PER-LEEEEEASE. Tsk tsk. Those of us who are of a more genteel disposition are not used to such imaginings as this and have just had to ring for the butler and send him to fetch the smelling salts and a fan. And some chocky 'obnobs to help with the shock.

I believe Farrow & Ball have just released a colour called Loose Stools which should compliment the carpet whilst being almost camouflage like in the event of an error of judgement😏

Had another practice chuck earlier against a different oppo.
Clubs{EEFC} v Spades {a familiar navigator off the cut}.
We won 4 v 2
without too much ado: {4 nil up at half time.. Solo worldy, two headers off corners and a tap in}.. No coming back for them/him second half as it transpired, despite us offering little in the way of resistance....
The Injury/Disciplinary Die was cruel in it's judgement to them..
I'll spare the details but the cut of the cards indicated that Murphs, MSal, Assassin, Deeside { 4 Clubs, 9 Clubs, Ace, Joker in that order} notched for us.
Roll on the weekend...

Friendlies can do wonders for morale and team cohesion (like that word) sherbert and liquorice sticks all round. What a display, no one in their right mind comes back from a 4 nil defecit (like that word as well) at half time. Feeling confident going up against the foxes. COYMEEFC.

Nice little warm up for the game against the Foxes. The Gaffer forgot to mention that in the recent 7-0 hammering in the practice game due to the very short notice (only 45 minutes before kick-off) there were only 8 of us available to play against a full 11 in the opposition team. I was at Costco stocking up on sherbet fountains, Chuffed was viewing his new abode, and Murph was editing the updated version of her best selling cookery book.
Hopefully we'll have a full turn out on Saturday and give the Foxes a right thrashing.

Playing Dead/Feigning the Distress signal as a tactic seemed to have been taken too literally by several participants.. Murphs first half brace seemed to create a little too much distraction also. 'Anticipatory Celebration Syndrome'.. as diagnosed by one Sports Psychology pundit... Final Score Foxes 3 v 3 EEFC
A tight affair... Deeside secured the point with a late unassisted solo worldy.. We finished the encounter on the front foo. {there was a post match scuffle in the tunnel as someone dropped a crust from the half time bacon + cheese sarnies in me fish tank, a moment of truculant defiance.....} Next match... v Lillywhites {Dirty Leeds} the one city team... Friday Night.. 23/10 7.45 pm ish... Full match vs Foxes{roll of the dice, turn of the cards} analysis to follow..

Good away point against one of the top teams in the league. Excellent free kick from Murph - waiting until the wall jumped and then cleverly blasting the ball along the ground (or was it a miss hit?) into the bottom corner giving the goalie no chance. It looked pretty impressive either way !
My sherbet fountains did the trick again and I somehow scored with a carbon copy of last weeks solo goal. What do I get for carrying the Joker from last week Gaffer ?
Bring on Dirty Leeds !

What do I get for carrying the Joker from last week Gaffer ? Bring on Dirty Leeds ! You carried the Joker into The Foxes match as a reward for MOM vs the Villains. It gives an enhanced chance in the Scorer shuffle. Your Card 3 Clubs plus the floating Joker representing you in the mix. Second half today after rolling a 1 on the score Die, I shuffled and split the Club cards, revealing the Joker {your supplementary card in this game.} That's the advantage of 'carrying' the Joker. {Ditto for Queen and King Cards}. Potentially higher probabilities in the shuffle. Murph as top scorer today carries the Joker into the next match.. The Q Queen as ongoing top scorer at the moment will remain with MSal.. The King card {Captain} is up for grabs... Socks... stockings and centre cirtles...Sherbert fountains etc.. in full effect....

No changes nor injuries... Not so much a foul more of a mugging with intent 'players' like that shouldn't take to the field, just rewards. All good practice for the dirty whites, are we the DAZ to give them a good clean!. Onwards and upwards etc..(ish).

Apologies for my somewhat inconsistent approach today boss. Didn’t tell you I was nursing a strained toe nail, I had to carry on regardless. You’re the first to know and hopefully this lamb kebab will kick start my season. Give me two days and I shall be fighting fit! Trying to impress a new manager has its drawbacks, youve heard all the tales of nights out and teasing squirrels down at the graveyard but I can promise those days are behind me now. With you’re undoubted guidance I can once again be “world class”. Decent result today in difficult circumstances. Beagles and horns aplenty but Murph especially showed the fitness levels required along with some of the “darker arts” in the last ten.
