What fantastic animals these are. Just take a look at this video.
The young elephant is being taught how to have a drink by an older elephant (Well, I'm assuming that's what's happening anyway, it certainly looks like it) but the little fella ends up falling in. The elephant which was next to him goes into a panic, but luckily another elephant nearby heard the commotion & comes running over, instantly realises what action is needed & pushes the other elephant in the dicretion of where they can get into the pool to save the little fella. ... All the while an elephant in a seperate enclosure frantically paces up & down with worry over the situation.

Appallingly treated, including the elephant ride industry - so loved by those kind and caring, wannabe-hippie, backpacker types.

Elephants are boring.
I do a passable impersonation of one, jeans pockets inside out and that. I'd post a photo if I knew how.

What do you get, if you cross a mouse with an elephant? Bloody big holes in your skirting board! Coat. Fetch. My.

Have advised people against doing it since. Snap We went to one in Koh Samui where the elephants played football and were made to dance etc. Must be better than hauling logs in the mountains but it wasn't right. Would love to see them in the wild.
