Means nothing, pointless statistic.
It's like when the media say a group have a "combined age of 128" or some fat blokes weigh "a combined 723 stone".

All it proves is we should have expanded the stadium years ago. We should be at 36,000 by now

7 from the Premier League and 3 from the Bundesliga. Interesting. I can understand Bayern selling out and Freiburg only have a small ground, but Koln surprises me. They are a very average side, have only won 1 of their last 6, and must play some rubbish matches against the bottom teams. So how come they sell out with nearly 50,000? Can anyone with knowledge of German football explain?

People from Cologne seem to be particularly proud of their city in general and it shows in things like the local carnival, rivalry with Dusseldorf, loyalty to the local beer, and the football team.

Cologne as actually city of over 1 million population ( twice the size of Dortmund and only 200k less than Munich)) they're currently sixth in the Bundesliga, have standing sections, a pet goat as a mascot, and adult ticket prices starting at €16.00

I will be interested to see if we exceed last years season ticket sales. I wouldn't take it as a given, that we will.

Which I think is a superb name for a goat.

You know what those stats tell me? We haven't got a big enough stadium and have missed a massive trick not developing earlier.
What a surprise.

Quite possibly true but considering that 5 years ago there was the danger of a fall in s/t then the bigger model we're following seems to be working fine. A tad of caution and sustainability with bold decisions too.

Makes sense. I tried to book a pair of tickets for the hull game over a week ago and there were literally 10 tickets left in the whole stadium.
