His CV speaks for itself as a player, coach, (caretaker) manager. Liverpool in the 1970s and 80s had a dominance that had never been seen before, and Ronnie was a part of that. I always think of him as a Don Howe, Les Cocker type of coach. A steadfast coach and assistant that got on with his job out of the limelight. RIP.

My Uncle played in the same Liverpool side as him in the late 50s early 60s and they remained friends ever since. My Uncle only had good words to say about him. A sad loss RIP.
