His best performance since the 1-0 win in the same game a couple of seasons ago.

What was it? 'Gone at the game?' 'Embarrassment'? a fortnight ago. Give it up you prunes. Go on Stoke. You forgot "Donkey" and "Shitcross". Not to worry, though. He'll be remembered as a Stoke City hero long after those undeserving, emotionally immature morons have disappeared up their own sorry arseholes.

Made a bit of a dick of myself arguing with some of our "fans" at the Boro game who slagged the captain off for the first 20 minutes on Saturday ( I should know better at my age!). But it does piss me off the over reaction to a few poor performances, absolutely superb tonight!

So pleased for Mr. Shawcross.... awesome tonight. Well deserved MOM. My thoughts as well. Just really pleased that he's receiving a bit of credit. He's had the wrong end of a shitty stick from the media for too long. And those wanker boys apparently from our own support calling him pathetic schoolboy names can go fuck themselves.

Massive arsenal fan.... Surprising tbh Scratching my head trying to think of any other team that might have needed a decent defender over the past couple of nights.

Was not able to see the match today due to mid week and work schedules over here. So happy to hear the responses here and that Ryan had a great game. He's been up and down a bit and needed a good old Ryan performance to keep him on the right direction forward.

I realise that he hasn't been his consistent self this season, but I think that tonight provided a timely reminder of just how good he is. He's still our best centre back, as he has been for the last nine years. A few dodgy games don't suddenly wipe out him carrying the entire defence for Hughes' first three years here, and he was back to his imperious best today. What a footballer, and what a leader.

Great interview after the match with Ryan and Saido on Sky, brilliant that off camera Ryan when told he was MOTM had said his mum must have been awarding it tonight as interviewer said as he was leaving it was Andy Hinchcliffe's choice as MOTM and not your mum

He's wank, finished, never good enough for England and needs to be replaced at Stoke, if not as a player then definitely as a captain.
Surely Souttar should be given a game ahead of our bumbling idiot of a captain?

Anyone still up for stripping Ryan of the captaincy? Ha!
Ryan is the finest captain the club has ever had, long may he reign. He's had a slightly ropey season by his own standards, but I'd still rather have him on the pitch than most of his counterparts in this league.
