I still find it amazing that it's ok that you can sit down to watch an afternoon Premier League game with your kids on a proper TV network (e.g. not a stream) and be bombarded with betting ads immediately before and after each half.
Lord knows what long term effect it'll have.
That's before we even get into shirt sponsorship, ground ads, etc.
No one seems to care though - too many on the gravy train

To be honest the adverts for gambling, beer and fast food all do harm so if you're going to target one group you really have to target them all.

That is why not having the sponsor on a kiddies shirt is pointless, because you see the advert at the ground on boards ect, the stadium is the betting company... Then like you say every other advert when a game is on TV is to do with gambling.

I reckon in a couple of years gambling sponsorship will look pretty tame.
Once we're out of Europe and firmly wedged up Trump's rectum we'll probably be advertising fucking guns on our shirts.

it would seem that the betting industry self regulates which as we know is meaningless.we saw with the distasteful paddypower paying out on us to be relegated in our first season after losing to notlob in the first game.what they lost by paying out they more than made up for with the publicity but i for one will never place a bet with them. and now we have piegate whereas the bookie thought it would be funny to take the piss out of the goalkeeper because he was a big lad.well i hope they got their fingers seriously burned and i dont blame the player one bit. the gambling commision[sic] should ban them from trading for six months. then lets see who is laughing

Surely, that'll do to put people off won't it?
