As we were right down in the corner with the lovely locals giving us all sorts of advice, their seemed to be for most of the 1st half goings on involving Police/Stewards & Stokies. More action that on the pitch to be honest....what was going on? Also....trouble at the end between home & away support?

It took almost the whole first half to sort out. It was to do with some guys standing above the left block. (nothing to do what was in the Link above)

Am I right in saying that opposing fans were seated in the same stand? If so, for a local derby, that has to be beyond stupid!

Something was going on near us-police and stewards talking to 2 black lads.
Took ages to sort out,but at least it gave us something to talk about as the football on display by us wasn't.
Then as they walked out with security some Stoke fan who really wasn't anywhere near the incident started to gob off to the assistant chief steward and then tried to man handle him-which promptly got him arrested.
Also after the game as we were coming out some lad pushed/punched a lady to the floor and when grabbed by the police/stewards his numpty mates tried to rescue him. Then somebody let off a flare.

We were sat right at the front directly behind the goal. Two absolute bell ends and a silly bint with a pierced nose, were giving it the biggun all match, trying to cause a fight with either the police, stewards or albion fans. They even went the toilets at half time to 'score some beak' so they said quite loudly. When the full time whistle went, one of the beaky twins decides to confront the chief woman steward and hurl a torrent of abuse at her for no reason whatsoever. Policeman got involved, he pinched his hat and tried to run off, not very far. Swiftly arrested while still hurling abuse at anyone and everyone.
Complete and utter bell ends. The sooner these fans stay at home, the better it is for everyone.

Noticed this before. When you watch games on tv at any other ground other than the Bet365, segregation always seems to be just a couple of seats. At our place it's always a lot lot more. Was discussing this with a mate the other day. I put it down to Stokie's can't be trusted. Rightly or wrongly. Same as whenever we go to Blackburn, we never ever get full allocation and that's a stand alone stand with no home fans at all. Yet Liverpool Man U etc always get the full stand and we get the one tier. I'm afraid we still seem to have a few bell ends. Like any club I know. But I still get the feeling that Stoke fans still can't be trusted. Like I said. Rightly or wrongly.

Deliberately not looked at the Oatcake until now, 24hrs later. Pleased that there are other people on here saying and thinking the same as me.
I have been to the Hawthorns countless times but have to say that yesterday was the most unenjoyable that I can recall. I felt quite unconfatuble and I doubt I will be going to many away games again.
Why should I feel like that ? Fellow SCFC fans !
Where I was sat/stood dozens of them streamed in 5/10 mins after the KO, and made no attempt to find thire seats, but just stood in the aisles taking the " I'm alright Jack" views and obscuring everybody else's view.
Pissed up kids pushing in and out of the rows to either go to the toilets, or talk to their mates 20 seats across 2 rows down every 10 mins.
No doubt I will get some abuse for this post from these pillocks but they will eventually grow up.
Not all of this mis behaviour was restricted to the younger element. There were mature people also who should have known better.

In other news, earth is round, dinosaurs are extinct, and man lands on the moon. You sound like a proper plum who should probably go to the opera instead of football. A working man's sport ruined by plums and fussy, uptight, JCL's.

As I understood things, it is to do with segregation of the concourse and number of people per exit. To put it mildly, the stadium could have been planned better.

I was just below the "what the fucks going on" with the two black lads yesterday and know I missed a good twenty minutes or so of the first half due to the sheer crap that was going on in the aisle. Used to enjoy away games but that enjoyment is fast diminishing due to the bell ends who don't give a shit about anybody else but themselves and their dick head mates. Good time to bring the membership cards back I think then hopefully the bellends will go back to their hovels and leave those of us actually want to watch the game able to do so. Been round since the late sixties and rucked with the best of them in the seventies but I grew up and left that shit behind there's more important things in life then bell ending.

Agreed regarding the bellends. Need a kick in the balls. Make no mistake I have no time for chavvy idiots who want to fight the world after snide beak and two halves of lager. The rest is just the boisterous nature of an old school away game. And the result of JCL's and opera fans demanding all seater stadiums and popcorn.

Many of us may have grown up and out of the boozing and brawling mentality but the younger ones will go through that very same phase. Personally I love a fired-up passionate game. Look away and don't get involved if you don't want to. Or shall we have a sterile atmosphere and all wear giant sponge hands and big rictus grins?
