We actually gave Bojan a bit of time to play. That boy needs to be the first name on the team sheet for the rest of the season. First name for me should be Lee. Agree we need to see how Bojan fairs but it isnt looking good so far, nowhere near the player he was. Hopefully he will recover his form.

A much better performance against a world class team. Thought we might get something from the game when we made it 2-2

Pleased with the performance apart from the usual defensive lapses which need sorting out. Shaqiri and Imbula need shipping out asap Shipping where exactly? There is, £30 million worth of...uh hum.... 'talent' there and for sure no one willing to pay even a quarter of that in return and certainly no one prepared to come near matching their wages, they are here to stay, for an eye watering 5 long years in the case of Imbula. God help us. And the barely played Bojan on a five year deal. The suffering Shawcross on a five year deal.

Did well for Crouch's goal I thought.

Took £120 off St Peter for 6 goals in the game.
Would rather it was 3-3 but hey ho, Happy New Year... :-)

You can pick whoever you want but if they make individual errors there really is nothing LMH can do other than sell them all and buy replacements which is just daft. Goal 1 Ryan did not attack the header and GJ left the near post open, the header would have hit him in the face. Goal 2 Erik got left on his arse and four players in the box could not get a block in. Goal 3 Bojan fucking about with it and gave it away. Goal 4 Indi could not handle Costa leaving Indi on his arse.
other than that we played very well :-)

Good effort today, we have played Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea last three away games, in every match there were many plusses in our performances.
Defensive errors have contributed to half the goals conceded this season, this must be cut out. Hughes needs to get a settled side, must get rid of senior players who are not fitting into the team, Shaqiri, Imbula and Bony, but please replace with pace.
I feel a midtable finish again. Hoping for a good run in the cup, we have squad capable of that.
One thing I did notice today, on FF interview Hughes seems very comfortable here, the team seem to reflect this the way they play, only showing urgency in their play after long spells without winning. If we don't beat Watford Tuesday, I expect a battling unbeaten spell to follow. It seems the mentality of the team at the moment.
Happy New Year to all.

Affaley was a positive today! I thought he played really well with good ball control... he was missing an outlet in Arnie today and has to check back a few times (not his fault)... so glad he is back!

Just like to be first before the board goes into meltdown. Much better than against Liverpool, much better. Jeff stelling and Paul merson said its the hardest game Chelsea have had at Stamford Bridge this season. And after watching Liverpool v citeh, we gave them a better game than citeh have.

They're right. There were many things that we did right today and that can't be underestimated given the incredible form they are in. The fact that Conte brought on Ivanovic to protect their lead speaks to how concerned he was about us scoring a third. I'm definitely not saying everything is fine, but I think there has been a slight overreaction here.

Picked apart too easily again. Although chelsea scored some good goals, there were avoidable ones too. All goals are mainly down to individual errors and we make more silly ones than most. There is nothing positive about being shit at defending and our problems start in midfield. The only positive from yesterday is it proved we still need crouch. We are a very unbalanced side at the moment and again we conceded 4 goals. We may have had a go, but the results the same. The lesser teams will set up more defensively and yet again we will struggle. At least we made subs at the right time, 2 subs at 60 mins should be a must in most of our games.
At least we are unbeaten in 2017.

Individual errors are a concern, and seem to be a bit too regular at the moment, however, we need also to give some credit to Chelsea. As MotD highlighted, from the re-start after our 2nd goal, they pressed us all over the park. Whilst Bojan might have done better, we had no 'free' men to pass to, such was the movement of the Chelsea players.
For my money, Chelsea will win this league and it's our performances against other sides that are of greater concern. Bournemouth and Leicester spring to mind
Happy New Year (I hope!) to all on here
