Article in todays Daily Mail (please, no lecturing about how crap certain papers are again!) - the cost of the watches the premier managers have on their wrist! Good old sparky is a sensible chap as his cost £300+ (still too much) yet gravel voice Dyche has one at £40k+. Now that is disgusting, a watch which tells the same time as one you can get from Argos for a tenner and his is double the salary of most Burnley fans!

I wear a casio calculator watch and always have done. Great for telling time or working out a bill.

After subbing MrsBath through medical school for all those years, I said I wanted a Rolex Salmon off her 1st pay cheque, but by the time it came to it my priorities had changed(3 kids)& now we all have mobile phones that tell the time. Anyway, I'm sending this from bed whilst she's at work, so I suppose there are some pluses+++

To be fair, if he earns 35,000 a week had a 100,000 bonus for getting burnley up. Then i suppose its not too bad.

Hughes cheap watch is probably why his substitutions are much too late in the game

A watch says a lot about the wearer as does his aftershave. Currently sporting a £14.99 casio and coated with Aramis. I can sense my luck changing already. 😂

I've got 2 Garmin's (currently wearing one as just been swimming and use it for pace), a cheap timex £30 which I used to wear for swimming before I got the waterproof Garmin and is still my default watch and a £300 Festina I won in a bike race and gave worn about twice in 18 months

Got a Cressi divers watch but only because it's waterproof for kayaking and the strap is long enough to go over wrist with wet suit on. It cost £90 and looks good for jeveryday use.

Don't start on Dyche.
If Klopp or Conte wear a 40k watch it's great, but when Dyche does it...

If I could afford a 40k watch I'd wear one so got no problem with anyone who can/does.

Must be all well off ye lot, bragging about your flashy watches! I was just comparing Hughes' cost and named Dyche, as his was one of the more expensive and Burnley one of the poorer towns. A more expensive car will (usually) be more comfy, styled better, perform better etc than a cheaper one but the Timex for a tenner does the same as a Rolex, - they are just worn for a statement.

Plenty of those watches on sale in MBK Bangkok for 40-50 quid. The more expensive the watch the more chavvy it looks in my opinion. It's the bling and baubles that add to the cost. Klopp's IWC looks ok but the Hublots are horrible IMO.

Can't imagine they're good quality reps though Always the same really for replicas where unless you get them from a trusted dealer who has sourced a really good replica. Agree on Hublots, awful. I'm just wearing a Hugo Boss Sao Paulo, fashion watch I know but it's simple and gets the job done, none of this sub dial crap.

However, I have never seen an expensive replica so have nothing to compare them against. The IWC's and Tags are always reliable. Breitlings also ok. Rolex less so. I must have bought about 40 from there over the years and maybe 3-4 broke or stopped working within 1-2 weeks. The rest, as far as I know, are still going strong. A guy I know in Bangkok pays 200 quid for his replicas. I think that is too much for a copy watch..but,each to their own.

Some of them on there spend 4 or 500 quid on Noob Rolex Submariners. Seriously good quality replicas. Unfortunately I couldn't justify that money when I could get a nice Seiko, Citizen etc...

I would assume that they are given them for free from the Watch company. Roy Hodgson had a Watch deal whilst England boss

I like a simple watch, analogue with just the time and date. I always opt for medium quality and Swiss; never quite understood the sense of having something so visibly expensive and muggable on your wrist. In fact, I suppose I am quite Hughesian in my approach to chronometry.
