We should refuse to pay it and highlight the case to show FIFA for what they are.

Another case of the entitled we seem to think should apply to us. FIFA have acknowledged the commemoration but stated that the rules need to be applied to all member nations. That's fine. The FA were warned in advance and still went ahead. Just take the fine and move on, without feeling like we should be bigger than the rules, or have some kind of exemption applied just coz we say so.

England have been fined 45,000 Swiss francs (£35,311), Scotland and Wales 20,000 Sfr (£15,694) and Northern Ireland 15,000 Sfr (£11,770).Following Wales' 1-1 draw at home to Serbia the next day, Fifa opened disciplinary proceedings looking at "fans in the stands wearing the poppy" and the presence of "a member of the armed forces holding a bunch of poppies at the exit of the tunnel", according to the Football Association of Wales (FAW).Wales refused to wear the poppy armbands because it couldn't afford a fine!

I think they should refuse point blank to pay it. We will see what the consequences are and deal with it. They may kick us out of the WC , so what? it`s in Russia and we are shit anyway. About time somebody stood up to this lot at FIFA , that somebody should be the FA.

Either FIFA has a deep sense of vengeance towards Britain or they are trying to bleach stadiums callously of any logo or campaign that hasn't been part of a corporate deal. If the home nations withdrew from FIFA altogether and Wembley needed a bail-out I'd probably be in favour.

Serious question, what would happen if we told them to stick their fine up their corrupt arses? I would hope a hard stance was taken here. The FA knew this was coming, maybe they have a plan? I know it's sensationalist media but Adrian Durham was talking about it when the talk of a fine was impending and he claimed that people inside the FA were pretty liberal on their stance against Fifa and he seemed to think it's quite a massive issue against them. I really hope that's the case.

Ironically it was the english FA that led the call for FIFA to ban political emblems on shirts I don't have a problem with that. It is FIFA's idea that poppy is, or ever has been, a political emblem which sticks in my throat.

We should certainly refuse to pay. Long before it comes to the crunch, FIFA will have made another decision which contradicts this one and they will have to back down.

Boycott the World Cup and donate the money to the Legion instead. It's not like we'll do anything anyway and I can't think of a better 'Fuck you' to that criminal cartel.

As with fines dished out by the courts here we should just not pay and tell them we,ll do the time instead, and tell them at the same time we could take your colleagues from thiefa some bacca in and perhaps pass on some message from you to them.

I worked for a fundraising company and the charity it was working on behalf of wrote to them asking why, in the first year, only 29% of money raised actualy went to the charity! fifa are total idiots and so are those that agree with them. The whole world is at war against terrorists and bullies who invade countries, yet the brave who stand up to them are disgracefully classed as political. The home nations fans should boycott an upcoming fifa sanctioned qualifier (one where folk haven't already bought tickets) - don't even turn the tv on for it. I hope the FA won't do FA and just accept it. More than appealing it I mean.
