Is he the worst left back in the premier league? Quite possibly. No pace whatsoever, can't pass a ball if his life depended on it & his crossing is beyond terrible. He doesn't even look where the strikers are he just cluelessly lumps it in box & naturally it misses everyone. Absolute dog shit today, AGAIN !!! Both goals came from crosses from his side. If he starts next week, I'll be fucking fuming. Has been a great signing for us but enough is enough. Needs to be benched for a couple of games until he sorts his shit out.

With all due respect, in the past few months he has been as shite at defending as he has been going forward. Up until he signed a new contract, he was a beast, arguably our best defender. It's all gone tits up since then.

I thought we should have signed a new left-back in the summer - and with every game it's becoming more of a priority.

He's not an attacking full back.
To continue to urge him and then rely on him for out attacking play in the second half was just plain rank bad management.

It's all gone tits up since then. I'm not saying on his current form that he'd make a great centre-back, he just isn't my "Ideal" full-back. Look at what Bellerin did to us at the Emirates. Look at what Seamus Coleman does for Everton. Danny Rose, Azpilicueta. They're just like second wingers. Pieters isn't a bad player, on his current form he's been terrible, but we know what he can do.

He'd be a great man to have on the bench, because Hughes doesn't bring his substitutes on if he can help it...

Peters was not really playing as a left back today, more of a left sided midfielder. The problem was the big hole behind him, skilfully exploited by their pacy sub. Hughes should have spotted this, brought on a left winger (probably for Bojan) and dropped Eric back to the traditional left back spot, which I believe would have prevented their first goal. I agree Eric is not the best full back around, but he's better in a a back four, playing deeper where he's not so exposed.

Him not being an attacking full back is no excuse for him being unable to make a basic pass. Something you would expect the under 11's to have learnt by now. His actual ability as a footballer is woeful, plus he's not exactly shining on the defensive side of things being as he's out of position more often than not. Also what's with his obsession of piling in the back of a player whose got his back to goal and of no threat whatsoever, he does it and gives freekicks around our box every game, braindead.

Apparently Peiters is today's scapegoat. Not really an scapegoat is he? The manager was at fault today but it's obvious to anyone who has watched a game of football that his distribution as a full back is by far the worst i've seen at most levels. It's actually embarrassing and why we persist with playing him as a wing back i'll never know as that also exposes how slow he is and out of position he is.

He seems to be the one coming in for the abuse today. It was Shaw on Wednesday, and it will be somebody else's go next week. He's not been in the best of form, but for him to be singled out after that shambles of a second half is strange. And if you think his distribution is as bad as any left back you've seen at any level, I would suggest you haven't watched much football.

I thought he was one our better players. Never gave mahrez a kick.
Its difficult to pass the ball when the only movement is on the opposite side of the pitch and it's even more difficult to cross it when there is only one statue in the box.
