Just had a rule notification from head office. Rule 16, Sub section 3... In the event of a tie, for example 2, or indeed multiple, tipsters getting 3 names correct, the winner will be the one whose 3rd casualty dies 1st, if all picks are the same celeb, it will count back to the 2nd celeb, and again, if identical, the 1st...In the very unlikely event of all winners tips being identical, the winner will be the tipster that submitted their tips earliest...Hope that is clear... Tim, if someone's five nominees all pop their clogs is that game over or are you giving prizes for 2nd and 3rd places

Also , I know it's way off, but for 2018 you will be only allowed to carry a max of 2 nominees over...And 1 has to be under 50... The National Association of Dead Pools have just had their AGM and this was one of the new rules to be trialed for 2018...

Like the idea, how about only being allowed one person in any 10 year bracket, e.g. One in their 50's, one in their 60's, one in their 70's etc.

I actually thought the idea, of the younger they die, the more points you get (stating 100 as a cut off, anyone over 100, decreases your points), I have had 3-4 (can't remember)people over 100, so the choice this year, would be different than 2018 Dead Pool.
Younger they die, the more points you earn.
Thats one for you shangi

What about a different style scoring system with 12 points if the person dies in January, 11 if in Feb, 10 if in March and so on. Or vice versa, one point if in January, 2 if in Feb. etc rather than just the present one point per celeb.

I've seen blurtonboy age related points system in other Dead Pool's. It does make players search for younger celebs with terminal illness' which isn't everyone's cup of tea. Also, could it be modified to a 10 name list ?? EDIT: Or even 11 names with 3 subs on the bench as it's a footie forum. A kind of Fantasy Dead Pool League

For example if I'd chosen Michael Buble's son based on him having leukaemia and he passed away I'd feel an utter twat....

Some fellow Stokies on here are going through terrible things in there lives at the moment. Reading the comments in this thread whether it's to do with adults or children imo is sick. Call me a miserable twat I don't give a shit to be honest.

Hard to disagree with you TBH, and yes, sick comments should be disregarded and never used, but it is a light hearted, albeit morbid, bit of fun, that is done all over the world, and if I have caused any offence to anyone I unreservedly apologise.

Old.1pt. 65 to 74 2pts 50 to 64 3pts 35 to 49 4pts Under 35 5pts Think it would be easier to count number of total correct choices, then in the event of a tie lowest age once added together. If still a tie go by date of completion/last and if still a tie after that earliest entry.

Personally, I think the age rule should count, but people with terminal illnesses or know health problems shouldn't.
