He has a point though. And people say he's one of the worst managers but they're all twats in their own ways, including our own manager.

Personally I find it refreshing having a honest passionate manager, would I take him over Hughes? No, but I can't really see anyone else as Stoke manager for quite a while....We need to remember for most of us these are the best times to be a Stokie I know that some would prefer if we were in championship so they can see games where we win by 2 goals or more, but for me I would rather see us in the best league in the world and taking baby steps year on year becoming more of a threat.

"the most defensive team I've ever come up against" I'm telling you, this bloke is a wanker and it's a matter of time before he loses it big time. Sunderlands times is coming. Personally can't wait for them to go We were defensive yes BUT if he thinks that was the most defensive performance he has ever seen LIVERPOOL will never ever win the league with him as boss. We actually had chances.

I like Klopp and the way he's got Liverpool playing. He actually looks like he enjoys his job.

I think Klopp is a super manager and his teams play very attractive football.
Every manager has his quirks, if Hughes were to leave and in some parallel universe Klopp wanted to manage Stoke how many of you wouldn't want him to come?

Bizarre Little Englander responses to a manager who plays very exciting football and his good at his job, just because he likes to express the way he feels.
I could imagine any manager saying the same thing about Sunderland even Hughes and would it be a problem if he did?
All he said was Sunderland were the most defensive team he'd played against and all the stats seems back this up. He also went on to say he didn't have a problem with it, so whats the problem?
Moyes had said that he was going to park the bus on the Friday before the game!
This is a case of the media overcooking a quote and the fans getting sucked into the narrative.

What a strange bunch you all are. Klopp is a revelation one of a few managers who are restoring the Prem to being an exciting spectacle. What has he done to irk you so much. Fast paced football with plenty of highly skillful interplay really annoy you lot so much? Modern life for many is hate first think second. What a load of rubbish! Actually Joe, that's a fair point mate, I agree.

It's called having a game plan, I have no doubt that Moyes' thinking would be, hold on to 0-0 and then in the last say fifteen, get the ball to Defoe and who knows what can happen, don't know why everybody on here is slagging Sunderland off when it is a tactic used all over the world on a daily basis. Frustrate the opposition then try and catch them out, not rocket science is it

Takes all the pleasure out of being on the same stage as the elite teams. Theres absolutely no evidence its more productive results wise than trying to give them a game, we pretty much killed off both manchester clubs last season in the first half hour of the game, why wait for the last 15 minutes to try to get at them?

It's actually possible to have a strong defensive plan as well as going forward and setting out to win games.

You have a point, instead of us putting so many behind the ball we should have attacked a lot more despite having a questionable defence and attack like someone like Watford do. We should have done what Watford did at Anfield really. They got beat 6-1 like and kept getting carved open, but at least they can say they had a go, eh?...

I remember another Liverpool manager saying exactly the same about us. Dalglish in a cup tie at Anfeild, we lost two nil. I think Richie Barker was our manager. Classless fuckers

I heard the interview and I can't see what's wrong with what he said. I was listening to Talksport at the time and they were laying into Sunderland every time they went to Anfield, far more disrespectfully than Klopp did. That prick from Watford was disrespectful.
Moyes didn't want to risk playing football and went ultra defensive. Just as Pulis did many a time, and people said far worse about us as we'd still come away at 2-0. I think you're being a tad precious over very little.

Klopp skates very close to being one of those managers in awe of their public image. Football is a spectacle, being a football manager is not. And for that reason, I'm out.

I remember another Liverpool manager saying exactly the same about us. Dalglish in a cup tie at Anfeild, we lost two nil. I think Richie Barker was our manager. Classless fuckers Ah. The infamous 9-0-1 formation game with 17 year old Ian Painter as the lone striker about 40 yards in front of the rest. Made sense (to a point) until we conceded the first goal after about half an hour but we changed nothing and played to keep the score down. It wasn't all bad. At the time I worked with a Welsh rugby fan who had never been to a professional football match. I was surprised to see him on the way out of the ground (turns out that he had been given one of Company freebies). He swore more in that 5 minutes than in the rest of the 10 years I worked with him and he also wanted his money back. Unsurprisingly it remains (as far as I know) the only football match he has ever attended.
