He left Liverpool for regular football. That tells you somthing. I can't see arsenal chelsea or citeh calling. And after that only Spurs are left and their midfield is packed. He is probably at the biggest club in the premiership who can offer him regular football and virtually the first name on the team sheet. And yes I believe that some clubs prefer an over priced player with a foreign name than someone just as good British. We are a small club compared to Spurs, the shit, citeh, Chelsea, arsenal and Spurs. The only sort of clubs who would come calling. He is not making a sideways move to Southampton or Everton Everton really isn't a sideways move for any Stoke City player. I can't believe people think this. It's not 1986

Everton really isn't a sideways move for any Stoke City player. I can't believe people think this. It's not 1986 Its a tricky call. I don't think they're any more likely than us to win anything, maybe slightly more likely to qualify for European competition but its marginal. Top flight longevity is heavily in their favor though. Its not by a mile but they probably have the edge over us.

to be fair, he's been our most consistent performer this season really and lots of the media have mentioned how well he's been playing. nothing wrong with coming out so early and basically saying to all the clubs right from the start "Don't even bother lads, he's staying put" "We are coming to the end of November and it won't be too long until every press conference will be about who is coming and who is going. It is a sign of things to come and we have to accept that. "We have to abide by rules where we can purchase players in only two short windows, so when one of those comes around it gets highlighted almost on a daily basis." im not going to accept, Im going to stamp my feet, make a placard and go on a march, whose with me snowflakes? Count me in, but only if I can write 'Down with this sort of thing' on my placard, I've always wanted to do that..

He was picked as the best defensive midfielder in Euro16. Maybe Barca or Real Mardid came calling.

Can we big as them in 10 years? That's possible in my view. Develop the stadium and the infrastructure, keep managing the team well; there's no reason why the future can't be different. Plus, the City needs the club to thrive. Suspect Everton, on the other hand, will increasingly be eclipsed by Liverpool: the global icon.

Historically its accurate they have been a bigger club. Historically so have Sheffield Wednesday, Nottingham Forest, Preston, Wolves and Blackburn. Are they bigger clubs now? Things change in football and at the moment its fair to say we are a similar ranked club to Everton. What tomorrow brings who knows, Everton have been, are and always will be a bigger club than us. I don't like to have to admit it but it is a fact.

Should have said £50M and he's yours. That would offset a huge loss on Imbula and buy 2 very good replacements. we have not lost anything on imbula. mh and the team are working on him to eventually take over from whelan[imo] we allready know he is a very good footballer.

They should be working on him and he may yet come good but I'd be completely amazed if it was in that holding position. If they can wake him up get him to understand he has a role without the ball and get some miles in his legs, you know actually running. Maybe he will play today and if so it will be as clear as day within a few minutes whether he's prepared to change his mindset. Great if he has, if not you can fully expect to see a huge loss on him and without a change of mindset the sooner the better. Wait to judge with you're own eyes, don't believe the stuff the manager says in interviews he can't really say anything else.

Don't think Koeman would get into Pep's squad to be fair he was slow as a carthorse and always looked like he struggled with his weight.
