Did anyone see this in the news? Walnut (and his owner) was joined by hundreds of other owners and their dogs, via a social media appeal, before being euthanized. I've found that the death of a much loved pet to be deeply upsetting. I'm certain I wouldn't want to make a public spectacle of it. Is that fair comment or am I too 20th century?

Admit it, anyone who's been a member on here for a good few years thought this was about Craig

I listened to the owner on 5Live earlier today and his line was that over the years he'd met many people out on the beach, strangers, who'd always made a fuss of the old dog. I understand your misgivings as I had the same feeling but I'm prepared to give him the benefit. My feeling was he should have let go a long time back. When the poor lad can't get off the floor for a pee and a crap you're being selfish.
