Providing you don't end up behind a post I've always liked both Hillsborough and Bramall Lane
On a smaller scale Preston have done a nice job with Deepdale.

Providing you don't end up behind a post I've always liked both Hillsborough and Bramall Lane On a smaller scale Preston have done a nice job with Deepdale. As a kid growing up watching football in the late 60's early 70's you always get a picture of what a ground is going to be like like when you actually get there. I have been to nearly all the grounds in my time but my favourites have to be Bramall lane and the old Wembley. Both have/had a feeling of awsomeness about them and lived up to expectation. The most disappointing grounds were Elland Rd and Anfield. After growing up with both teams dominating the 70's and 80's actually going to their grounds was a bit of a let down. Elland Rd had some sort of cow shed on the 1 side of the ground which you never saw on the TV and Anfield just felt small and poxy. New Wembley is nice ground, but falls well short of the old Wembley, It is a beautiful ground, but does not have that special feel of the old Wembley, Millenium is a decent ground too..

Like a number of others, the Millennium stands out for me. The old Wembley carried with it decades of history and atmosphere and a whole torrent of urine when the Scots couldn't be arsed to walk to the conveniences.

No new ones as they all same bland stadia (but safer - other than West Ham!). For same reason as other person, Brentford (pubs, did all 4 on each corner), Huddersfields old Leeds road, Coventry Highfields was ok, ground itself.

The Millenium Stadium for me. Though I used to love some of the old away grounds stuck away in rows of terrace houses-especially when it was a night match-you couldn't beat it.Found many an away ground by looking for the floodlights as we got near. Luton town is literally stuck inside the terrised houses what a surreal feeling walking through the houses and going up the steps with women doing the dishes in the kitchen above looking down on you. Thought the police were taking the piss when they sent is down that street only to find the turn style in the middle of the houses.

Marston Road, because I go there quite often with my old man. Also like Valley Parade and Spotland.

It's one I've never been to, but I've always had a thing for White Hart Lane.

Villa Park, I like Birmingham as a city, the ground is easy to get to and we seem to perform well there!

Hillsborough, Maine Road and the Baseball ground, but I have always thought Hillsborough is the archetypical good old fashioned ground.

As mentioned the millennium stadium is a great venue.
A mention for Somerset Park in Ayr. A proper old, almost derelict ground that oozes character of stadiums from yesteryear.

Anfield - for atmosphere when it gets going. Only issue with it is distance from the city centre
Wembley - a quality stadium and holds great memories
Wigan DW - steep stands which meant you felt close to the pitch, couple of pubs nearby and easy to get too

Old School - Loved Roker Park, even though I didn't go first until the early 90's it still felt like the way 60's football would have been, flat caps and woodbines
Classics - Villa Park - modernised but retained it's old style, plus we always won there so could put up with being in the crap part with the sun in your eyes
Modern - Emirates, like somebody dropped an alien space ship into central London

Old ones again: Roker park, Goodison park and any with the excellent Archibald Leitch stands or architecture, including the double sided football/cricket stand at Bradford Park Avenue.
