Just for you, Salop Who'd be one?... Couple of lads having a scrap in class, one of 'em whacks the female teacher in the face ( Clickerty-click ) Fair play to the lad who then jumps in & drops him for doing so!

my mate is a teacher in a city school near Northampton and I really couldn't deal with the kids I would have to throttle them
example
troubled pupil comes into a lesson late and doesn't apologise or wait to be let in (spoiling flow of lesson im informed), he then proceeds to rock on his chair (teachers pet hate apparently) his mobile rings and he answers it, Sir (my friend) asks him to end the call and pass the phone over, troubled pupils response is fuck off you rude cunt cant you see im on the phone!!!
example 2
"you have an after school detention" "go fuck yourself sir, your a fucking joke"
I suppose the long holidays are a bonus

Its the parents that are the ones to blame, children develop using the influences they have, see and hear around them, if you can't bring a child up without instilling it with enough respect and discipline to realise that telling a teacher to FUCK OFF is totally unacceptable then you shouldn't be having them.

I did a PGCE a long time ago and taught economics in a few private (fee paying) schools. The children were so keen and motivated and polite it was untrue. I then taught in a couple of comprehensives where the children were rude lazy & obnoxious.
The difference?
Parents.
The most important thing in any child's education is good parental role-models.

I was lucky enough to teach in a very good school (our manager sent his children there). For me the ingredients for a good school are strong leadership (zero tolerance of disruptive behaviour) and parental support for this. I appreciate that this is easier said than done in some areas where there are areas of high unemployment and many families are dependent on benefits but it can be done. Teachers have to work very hard to motivate pupils and there can be many setbacks on the way. In the very few instances of poor attitude I had to deal with parents were in denial about their children's behaviour in class. I think today's teachers are better trained than I was in the 60's. The one thing I would find it difficult to deal with now is the vast amount of paperwork involved in child protection, health and safety etc. when time could be better spent in preparing good lessons.

What's the point in working hard in school - the country isn't interested in experts anymore, so we don't need any.
They're better of dicking around and having a good time.

Perhaps it's about time Good Parents were rewarded, as at the moment bad parents and their foul off spring take up more resources than enough.
Bad children inevitably become bad grown ups and worse, bad parents themselves creating a never ending circle of morons.
Spend more money early to break the circle has to be the answer, parenting classes and perhaps shared care with a better parenting figure like an Aunt, Uncle or Grand Parent.
Of course you could just keep letting them destroy our society.

Children of every generation live in the society that the previous generation have created. If society is shit, it's not the fault of children but adults.

When a FEMALE teacher is attacked in a classroom , that is destroying our society. Or at least the one I was raised in where a man, youth, boy NEVER attacked a woman, girl. Not even if she slapped him in the face which I have had on a few occasions and probably deserved.
You are right in the fact that it is the fault of the parents, however it is not the parents who teach this sort of violence, it is knowing that there is no consequences for their action that encourages this sort of behavior. The video shows an assault, nothing less. The result should be a police record and borstal, followed by fostering to decent parents while the parents receive training. If they are incapable of learning how to raise a child then surely the child is better off being adopted.
