He's played 4 games on the trot and got better in every one. He was superb today. A joy to watch.

That was his best game in a Stoke shirt, better than at Goodison last year.

That was his best game in a Stoke shirt, better than at Goodison last year. By some distance I would say. His ability to play and keep the ball in tight spaces was absolutely outstanding

Both goals from outside the box!
Great strikes and a wonder pass to Arnie, just tipped by their GK
Hope he's not attracting too much attention elsewhere!!

The first one, yeah he should've scored but was still a good save. The second one was a brilliant save, Arnie couldn't have done anymore.

What more could he have done for the second? The first probably could have done a bit more but not a sitter.

It's easy forget in amongst his great strikes but what a ball from ryan for his first. That was a bloody hard pass and he picked him out superb

Slated at times last season even after scoring some blinding goals! Think this season he will do what Arni did last season and wouldn't be surprised if he scored 10+ goals.

I think a lot of the criticism last season was fair. He was often poor and only very occasionally played well imho, despite his clear talent. Given his stature in the game I could understand "cashing in" if we'd have done it.
I discussed this the other week with mates after the Baggies game. People were banging on about him playing well that game, but we felt he really was more good than amazing. Our opinion was that he really needs to play to that standard most weeks, occasionally having good games and occasionally having bad games. Basically a bit like Arnie does who imho has been a much better player genreally.
However he's defintely done what we asked so far since he came back (without any bad games so far!). 3 decent games and a seemingly excellent one today must count as easily his best run of form?
I think regularly scoring goals is important for Shaq too. To my mind he's not a natural winger and his stumpy little nature does make life difficult for him at times. But he does have bags of talent and if he can more regularly score it'll really help. Is he level with last year's tally already, or not far behind?
His best skill is probably those through balls he can play but his problem there is we don't that often have the players making the runs so that might not be quite as productive as it could be sadly.
Hopefully he can keep this up and remain fit throughout the season. Those dodgy hammys certainly didn't help last season.
