He's not been at his best tonight. Hat trick his 37th though. Don't anyone tell me he's not the best in the world. MESSI the first goal was very lucky.

John Stones getting massively found out again tonight That's what £50 million buys you these days. Who needs goalkeepers who can make saves and defenders who can defend when they can all make 5 yard passes

Add in a £50 million winger who can't cross a ball to save his life

none of the goals have been his fault..? What was the commentator's comment "ledden footen",£50 million what a joke For any English-speakers on here, that translates as "leaden footed" 😉 I agree, Stones is a shite defender but he is quite clever the way he avoids as far as possible being put on the spot. Think Cahill partnering Shawcross in Ryan's 15 minute international career. Unluckily for Stones he found himself standing next to Messi when the ball was knocked through for his 3rd goal. He was so slow to react that there was in fact no reaction from him.

More scintillating defending, but bailed out by a goalkeeper that makes saves

Why do they say a learning curve for stones? You don't have time to learn. You have one chance on one night.

Why do they say a learning curve for stones? You don't have time to learn. You have one chance on one night. That must be his 20th learning curve since last Christmas Along with Wilshire he's the most overhyped and overated player of the modern era

Well that went well for city, one of the few chances they'll get to turn over Barcelona in there own back yard and their keeper thinks hes playing pre ww1 and can handle the ball anywhere in his half and the great British hope at centre half gets rope a doped by one of the slickest front 3s the world's ever likely to see on an off night for them. Ok i admit at 1-0 they were still it it but they just fell to pieces and the gulf between the teams flowed over and washed them away.

On a very below par night for Barca they still spanked our best we can offer from the Prem, just wait until they are all fit and firing!

With all the players man city have at their disposal, And the pin up manager! I did expect more composure on the ball. We all know how good barca are, but yet again watching an English side play a top class European side, the gulf in class was still there to see. City are not really an English club either, only by name. All their players bar the odd one, played most of their career in Europe, Can't remember a English team playing a top Europe side of the park for a good while now.

I wasn't having a go, just a bit of tongue in cheek bad humour.

Anyone who chooses a goalkeeper for what he can do with his feet rather than his hands is an idiot.
Guardiola will turn out to be an absolute fraud. He may well have strolled his merry way to uncontested league titles in Germany and Spain but he won't do that here. With the money he's spent, if he's as good as they say he is, he should guide Man City to the title at an absolute canter. I doubt he will though.
Whilst Mourinho is a billionaires Tony Pulis, I'm fairly confident in predicting that Guardiola will turn out to be a billionaires Roberto Martinez. I have always quite liked Man City but I hope to god that this guy falls flat on his very smug footballing principles. I couldn't help but be chuffed by the fact that they got spanked tonight.
John Stones is an even bigger joke than his deluded manager!
