I knew you would bite Bisp Like you, I always remember it as "The Harrowing".
Now sit down mate...
IT'S BEEN RE-BRANDED:-
WIKI

Durham World Heritage
I know. Unreal. Nothing is as it seems. I just found out that the bloody village I spent 18 years of my youth living next to, "Halmerend", is now called "Halmer End".
I blame Brexit. The world is going mad since then, starting with the letter "H". Enjoy your break!
PS I've been dissing David Cameron elsewhere. If you are planning to bend my ear, I'm AWOL in the brewery for a couple of days after the match. Ginger beer for Christmas. Yum.
When I studied the Conquest at school it was the Harrowing ......when I studied for my degree it was the Harrowing .....so for me it will always be the Harrowing ...not a question of biting or re-branding ....it is correctly termed as the Harrowing of the North ....Harrying is a lazy alternative , but the definition remains the same ....so ok Moi aussi, mon ami.
